and we know what we're looking at... and what the smudges on the pretty blue & white globe represent...
mind you, it's a bit of a shock to see just how dark and brown the moon really is... we're dazzled by it and it looks so bright against the night sky...
Bzzzt... wrong... they do suffer from "frame rate" issues. The mission computer of the system I work with automatically removes the low priority symbols from the HUD and Multi-Function displays if there's not enough time to draw everything in the cycle time allocated. ie, it draws them last normally and if there isn't enough time left, it doesn't bother drawing them and starts from the high priority ones first again.
the "license" conditions no doubt will contain several pitfalls for anyone who actually wants to use it to implement a file input/output filter in conjunction with free software...
and the other problem is once having seen the specification, you'll never be able to safely work on other free software projects again...
the main mozilla page makes lots of noise about Firefox 3, yet the direct download links on that page are for v2.0.0.14, I wonder how many others are downloading what they think is the latest...
who still send out mass mailings with CC email addresses deserve everything they've got coming to them... all those on the CC: list should sue the pants off them...
BCC, it's there for a reason... Use it guys... I blame Outlook for basically hiding the option and management for not properly educating staff in email etiquette...
is just how many of those little beauties they've actually sold... after all, there has to be some real reason why Microsoft suddenly blinked and allowed the OEMs to carry on making devices with XP on them...
I bought some DVDs over the weekend only to find that the first 5, unskippable, minutes were advertisements for other things.
don't have this problem... I play my DVDs using Xine... when I want a menu, I get the menu, when I want fast forward, I get fast forward... no stupid "can't do that" sign.
Either the people here are different now or it is french bashing time. Maybe both.
place has been flooded with microsoft shills for ages now... I'm convinced Microsoft employs PR hacks to patrol websites to counter anti-microsoft positions and post pro-microsoft posts. There's so many posting in here that they've managed to gain high karma by modding their puppets up at every opportunity...
why not give them a Palm or PocketPC with a bit larger display and a keyboard.
because there's a scarcity of software available for those platforms that isn't time limited payware demos masquerading as shareware or pay through the nose packages... With Linux, there's absolutely scads of software available to be ported simply by recompiling it for the target chip... also development tools for Palm and pocket PC cost an arm and a leg with limited redistribution rights of the code you produce with them... with Linux, you have the full Gnu toolchain... emulation of the target system is another problem... POSE was great, but Palm yanked the cloth from under developers feet by making the emulation package only runnable on windows... that turned me completely off developing for Palm... I was not able to develop on my platform of choice...
Ctrl Alt Del simultaneously???

now see how fast the identical hardware runs with Linux on it... bet it goes way faster...
not a hope of backporting to this one...
