I have had nothing but trouble trying to get this game to run properly on any of my different PC's.
First off, it requires Pixel shader 1.1 support on your video card chipset, which many Nvidia cards do not support(I know many of them do, just not some of mine) List if Un-supported Nvidia cards Secondly, you are going to need a newer generation video card with 256 Mb minimum.
My first PC has 128mb geforce MX, 512Mb ram,2.6Ghz intel , and the game will not start due to the pixel shader 1.1 issue.
My other pc is 128mb quadro Fx,1Gb ram, 3.0 ghz intel, and the framerate makes it unplayable even at the lowest quality settings.
These are both PC's that have done fine with Doom3, HL2, and many other games.
I now own a $50 game I won't be able to play without dropping another $200-$300 dollars for a top-notch video card.
I have found that any time firefox crashed for me, it was some stupid java thing, or an extension that did it.
Tends to happen when I had an older extension installed, and I had updated the browser to a new version that the extension did not support.
Some extensions have bad versioning info, so they report that they work on a certain version, but really don't.
I still have issues with sun jre, but not enough to switch back to IE.
My wife and I looked around and found a good reputable photographer who was not too tech savvy.
She had great equipment, but never made the connection to copyright. We ended up asking for just the bare minimum package of prints, and then got all of the digital on cd. She also had her photo processor digitize the large format film, so we have that on cd as well.
Ended up paying around $1200, as she had a flat $850 shooting fee, and the rest was prints and transportation.
You can always find a smaller company that will be a little more flexible on these kinds of things,
a. to get the business
b. so you spread the word about how good they are
We have been able to use our digital photos to create gifts for our families, and my wife loves the fact that she can paper our house with pictures of the wedding.

Also--this could never be a popular movie with the/. crowd. The production notes say that they used NT workstations to do the CG.
I agree on the IPO being a bad idea
BUT.....
They specifically noted, that their focus would be on the long term. They also noted that they would not focus on making quarterly earnings or "smoothing" the quarterly results.
It may be naive on my part, but this may be one of the few companies out there, where I actually believe them.
I won't be bidding on the IPO either, as the street will have a hard time dealing with their business strategies(initially). I honestly hope they can change investors perceptions of how you can build a profitable, yet creative and dynamic company at the same time.
Does this mean I might lose tech tv on my Directv satellite? This just allows Comcast to come out, and charge enough for the programming that other providers(small cable companies, directv, dish network) cannot afford the programming. As these large companies such as Time Warner, Comcast etc., start buying up more interesting programming such as tech tv, I think we will start to see a homogenizing affect.
Worst case, they may find that these channels don't generate enough ratings, to make big ad dollars, so they drop them, after they have been assimilated.
It was my understanding that there were Federal laws in the US, that prevented manufacturers from doing this. The idea, is that your local mechanic doesn't go out of business because the dealer is the only one who can work on the car.
If this car is ever introduced in the US, they have to make the tool publicly available. On the other hand, they could keep Joe Car Owner from working on his own car, by just making everything accesible only if the car is placed on a lift.
This seems to be the case with a lot of products in the retail environment. Gaming consoles come to mind. While many retail products in the big box stores are discounted due to wholesale bulk purchasing, some products manufacturers just won't let the retailer alter the price, because it doesn't jive with their "Marketing" plan.

I guarantee it because it sees the 'x' and 'free' in the search terms. Whenever I search on these terms I always got pr0n.
I just saw this yesterday. Thought it was a neat touch. I don't remember many PS2 games ever doing this. Anyone name any others?
