Yeah! It's downright criminal that M$ won't continue to support an OS that came out before the Iraq war, or SARS, or the first US case of Mad Cow, or Gray Davis getting recalled, or Greenspan retiring from the fed, or Hurricane Katrina, or The release of three more operating systems from Microsoft....
Let's be reasonable. XP is four versions old at this point. It's time to put it out to pasture.
Nat Geo used to have a show called Is it Real? that actually did some of this, and it was really interesting. Unfortunately they don't make new episodes of Is it Real anymore, it was great. They would usually have some proponent of whatever they were talking about that week (ghosts, UFOs, etc.) for the first 15 minutes or so, then would have actual scientists come in and explain why it probably wasn't for the next 30 minutes. I miss that show.
The Road goes ever on and on/Down from the door where it began/Now far ahead the Road has gone/And I must follow, if I can/Pursuing it with eager feet/Until it joins some larger way/Where many paths and errands meet/And whither then? I cannot say.
And my point is that according to INTERPOL it isn't more broad then that. I will admit to not being able to read Swedish, or being a lawyer, but this is the first case that I have heard of where Sweden's rape laws would not be what most/. readers would consider rape. This seemed suspicious to me so I went to the best source I could find, and from what I have found the criminal charge or rape in Sweden is exactly what a/. reader would think it is. Julian may or may not have raped that woman, and I am going to wait for the criminal investigation to finish before I attempt judgement, but it is a BS argument to claim that these rape charges are less serious for being in Sweden as opposed to the US.
According to Interpol it is pretty much what I would consider rape.
"Section 1 of the Swedish Penal Code
'A person who, by violence or threat involving or appearing to the threatened person as imminent danger, forces the latter to have sexual intercourse or to engage in a comparable sexual act, shall be sentenced for rape to imprisonment for at least two and at most six years. Rendering the person unconscious or otherwise placing the person in a similarly helpless state shall be regarded as equivalent to violence.'"
Unless people consider rape to be something other than non-consensual sex, in which case I admit to being wrong, and I am kind of curious to see what you consider rape to be.
Of course you can, their routing number is 666, but you still run into the problem of getting the account number of whoever you are sending the money to. Also the dollar is incredibly weak against souls right now, so it's pretty expensive.
Clan Walrus, It's thier old gaming clan from before they started the comic.

Unfortunately yes. For a time I was a field tech and that was the company car given to me. They actually do drive quite nicely and are comfortable to ride in as long as you don't need a center rear-view mirror. The dumb, little spoiler goes right across it taking about 50-60% of your field off vision away.
They were attempting to find out information for the Italians regarding an attempted murder in Italy.
From TFA: "In October 2004, a federal prosecutor sent a subpoena to Rackspace Managed Hosting of San Antonio, Texas, as part of an investigation underway in Italy into an attempted murder. Under a mutual legal assistance treaty, the U.S. government is required to help other nations secure evidence in certain criminal cases."
Okay, then you should let your senators know your thoughts on that as well. The more people are vocal to their representatives the better the systems works. (Before anyone says that I am being naive, you should know that I was an intern at my state capitol and have seen this work first hand)
The Bill is still in the Senate ( S.167 ) So we should all write to our Senators and let them know that we support this bill and would like to see wording added so that previews are listed as being explicitly skippable. Also if you donated money to their campaign be sure to mention that.
I don't mean to troll; I am genuinely interested. Why open source? I have seen some arguments that say it is more secure and that it saves money, but I have never seen an argument as to why it's more secure, and how it saves money. I have nothing against open source, I use Firefox daily and have toyed with Linux (Slackware and Fedora Core) but open source doesn't matter to me as much as what the product does. So, I ask again, why does open source matter (again not trying to troll, just gain an understanding).
Granted the record producers probably have been riding on the backs of musicians for too long, but taking away the the income they get from record sales is definatley hurting the artists in addition to the record producers.
It's the largest unprotected border. The Shengen treaty countries have multiple borders. Or if you prefer to think of it this way, it's the largest unprotected border between two countries.
Let's not forget the monkey dance

I also like how Minneapolis/St Paul was left out when it's a bigger metro area than Oklahoma City and Nashville combined.

Whoosh... You realize he is being sarcastic, right? Have you ever tried to do math in Roman Numerals? It's a huge pain in the ass.

Nevermind, I reread comment and he did include the game price under linux.
You still have to pay for Game X if you try to run it on Linux, so it doesn't affect the price difference.
Worked fine for me using firefox.
I can't believe no one mentioned The A-Team!
. is e and - is t, that's about all I can remember from ham radio classes in highschool. The sad this is I had that class only four years ago.

CA is Computer Assoiciates in this topic not California.

Contrary to popular belief polygamy is outlawed in Utah. Granted the law isn't always enforced, but it is against the law.
