    1) who's paying for these laptops? Taxpayers no doubt... 2) All-wireless network + destructive teen-boy hackers = disastrous combination 3) How many of these laptops do they actually expect to survive the whole school year? Kids these days run in the door and throw their bookbag up against the wall on the way to the Xbox... 4) Security? Spyware? Adware? Viruses? That's my $0.02

    The funny thing is that if you ever watch a creationist professor debating with an evolutionist professor, the evolutionist will ALWAYS end up completely bewildered. Regardless of whether or not you want to believe in creation, evolution doesnt have a leg to stand on. Try checking it out instead of just blathering...

    And yes, your wonderful rant about whatever intelligence you perceive me to have just shows everyone how much you really know about me... How ever did you figure me out?

    http://www.geocities.com/agseventyfour/Lucy.html Also, the only part that was "not" mathing to that of a chimp was the knee joint... which was accidentally mislabeled by the person who found it (miles away i might add) and then left there because he wanted credit for finding part of it.... there's accuracy for ya.

    yes it was a "hoax"... compare the skeleton to that of a pygmy chimanzee... they're one and the same... Just because you found some professor who says something doesnt mean it's true...

    What if they sequence it and it turns out to be a common ape or something that we already have around here... thing are not always as they seem as lucy and piltdown proved. (both proven "hoaxes." More accurate definition would be "mistake...")

    This was like 20 years ago... Why is he just now pressing charges? It looks like someone is low on cash so they thought getting on the "Sue MS" bandwagon was a good idea.

    True: I do believe that if MS did do wrong, it should have it's tail whuped.

    Also True: The extremely late timing of this looks very suspicious. It looks more like he's grasping at financial straws...

    It's amazing how much dirt AMD has on intel if you read their suit document. I think it's safe to say that the only way intel will win this one is if they pay off the judge...which given their history they just might try... ;-P This has been a long time coming and it's definatley about dang time...

    on another note, i think we can all agree that concerning your example, the original ruling was blatantly anti-constitutional... My point is that if they were doing their jobs correctly the first time and without bias (and that goes both to the right and the left) they wouldnt have this problem. The problem is that they're putting about half the time and energy into the job with about 3 times the opinion that they should. The supreme court should ABSOLUTELY not be making decisions based on what they "feel." They should be making decisions based on what the constitution SAYS. Period.

    Then if they want to be seen as adults and not complete idiots, they had better re-think cases like the New London, CT property rubbish they just ruled on. That and direct contradictions of rulings that they just made. It's looking more and more like they're being paid off by someone to rule a certain way and frankly i'm not sure i'd be surprised...

    How can they directly contradict a previous ruling? How is it possible that the constitution says one thing one day and another another day... Reform time? The supreme court is becoming more and more pointless every day IMHO....

    It'll definatley be a nice step in the right direction. I think it promises to be one of those long/gradual changes that eventually will be all the way in place but it will take time. I'm likin it in any case...

    If you're gonna make a mars base on a moon of mars, what's the point? Just make it on the surface... It's really not THAT much different to go to the surface than it is to go to the moon. Granted the deceleration needed is less, but then you have to worry about how to get from the moon to the planet... the extra fuel needed to decelerate onto the planet is proabably a lot less than making a hop on the moon first ;-)

    I do think we should go and look at the moon there though, that could be neat.

    This is utterly pathetic. I cannot believe that the supreme court has this much power. Their job is to interpret the constitution not re-write it as they see fit whenever they want. an MSNBC poll showed that over 97% of people disagreed with the ruling. I think there's a time when people need to really step back and see how much their government isn't looking out for their needs/well being at all...

    someone was paid off to pull this stunt... this should NEVER have even made it to the supreme court....
