I am not surprise. Linux is mature in server but desktop is shit. Sorry geeks, learn to be more social and pay attention to users, we do not want gnome kde lxde etc. Too many choices means watered down options and ideas, work on one or two things and make them good. I will get flame for this since its easier then admitting the facts. Wireless does not work right, sound its a joke unless you tweak, apt-get and rpm installers are a good idea but people want to do double click, get it? Now back to the basements or "offices" beat one quick and think of what I said and this might get you some recognition and get laid. Being unique is not always best.
I usually do not post here but I am a firm believer in dumb phones. I like the fact their are simple, they work and the battery life rocks. I have a Nokia E55 and is great but I always go back to my Nokia 6303c or Nokia 3720. They are just working. I had blackberry, Iphone for 3 days and just can not stand to be with it in hand all the time and check messages. Life passes by every time I had a smart phone.
another distro out of 1000s? come on guys... you can do better and pick 3-7 major ones and improve on those, not bs all over... i know the free mentality is ok, but common sense should be used first. and you guys wonder why linux does not do well on the desktop overall...
1 norton antivirus 9 (enterprise) 2 all windows updates on XP 3 ad-aware 4 mirc 5 office 2k 6 aim (new one with no lovely wild 7 yahoo messenger(the new beta) 9 emule 10 aol client (they stuck me on in a 6 month commitment, after my free 1 yr trial that came with dell) BBB should come to the rescue anytime.
I think this will slowly end the free linux craze. No matter what, Linux did not really take off as analyst said. Free is good, but no support is like paying for it. Rather have some money to pay and get some support too.
I use MSN cause it came with the system, and stupid new users uses it, since it comes with the computer. as for new version of msn, they are bloaded, and i hate them, i am still at the 4.7.2900 i think. the above versions are crap. Thank god with the new hide feature in xp, so no need to see it, but since i still got a few peeps on it, i do use it. aim is better in my opinion, since everyone uses it. icq will soon be gone. also msn use became more popular since alot of stupid aolusers canceled and they are too stupid to know that there is aim for free, and then they go to msn.
Many of you geek by nature, and attracted to the latest and greatest, are reluctant to upgrade to new phones. I have sprint and I am happy so far. but while changing phones from kyocera 2255 to sanyo 4900 and now sanyo 8100 i must say the coverage is based on the phone, not entirely on the service. I live in cali and so car verizon and sprint have by far the best coverage. nextell is ok, but if you of their range you are f**cked. T-Mobile is ok, but still lacks some coverage, and Cingulair and stupid ATT are the worst. They only seem to work in poor areas, rather where low income people leave, also their stores seem to be located in the same vecinity.
MORAL: just cause you think your service and your old phone work where ever you go, does not mean they are actually better. I like the latest and by far I find it to be and improvement each time.
I do not get it.. Let's say there is a Radio station that plays music from anybody else but RIAA members, will they still have to pay? This is RIAA at it's best.
This linux on anything bullshit gotta stop, soon my bike can have linux, come on. If I get a xbox i would not want damn linux on it. Why? Just get a damn 133 mhz with 128 ram from ebay for like 50 bucks and u set. This geekness went way to far, I really think this must stop, and they should be put in jail. Those are one purspose machines. I do not see anyone from BestBuys or Circuit City asking for the next version of linux on xbox, hell linux on anything. This is not linux bashing, but this is way too far, really.
Well all I can say is that I do not even download such music that belongs under them, I get some music from my country that is not even related to their business? Will I be guilty too?
All I can say is that if Apple goes on with this, I think it will be awsome. I am not an Apple fan and all that, but from the way they do business, they are more for the customer then any other company around. And no, it will not be bad. Think of all the foes that said Apple will go out of business in the next 5 yrs, and all that. And you really think Apple only has 4.4 Bil in cash? Come on, for such a big company that is nothing. From what I have followed over the years, and my own calculations, that would be something like 24.3. Microsoft has around 60 bil cash reserves.

it could also be that you are using a 2g phone and do not upgrade your phone:-)
