Actually its about 500 billion tons of rock. I don't have the details, but I'm assuming is fairly thick rock too. Due to its dimensions and composition, excavating would be impossible. Likewise, explosions would most likely be ineffective, or if they are effective, might set off the entire thing.
It comes down to our own inability to affect land masses on a significant scale. Building breaks out in the water would be more practical.
Just to clarify, I run a high school alumni site for my old school. I'm not posting the name here cause the site is "bandwidth-challenged".
The url is [smalltown]alumni.com, where [smalltown] is a unique name for a town. The title of the document is "[Small Town] Alumni", and the first H1 tag is "Welcome to the [Small Town] Alumni Website". Despite this, if you enter Small Town Alumni in Google (without quotes), my site comes up 7th. With quotes, my site is still 3rd. The one and only site that links to mine is listed first in the search results, and that site happens to be the school districts website. The other 5 that are before me are a link to reunion.com, a cache of the school districts websitesite, and a couple news sites related to schools.
All of those sites only have the [Small Town] text in their site, with the exception of the school districts site, who's link text is "[Small Town] Alumni".
For comparison, entering [Small Town] Alumni into Yahoo, with or without quotes, lists my site first.
Type "shi" into it? Look at the second result you get. Type in the full word and you get some really strange results that I don't want to click on for fear of seeing tubgirl again.
Personally I find that only granting read permission on the Run & RunOnce registry keys prevents a lot of problems, as if doesn't seem that any malware I've come across is smart enough to reset the permissions.
Is it a Radeon Pro? How much ram? What resolution and quality settings are you using? What's the speed of your CPU? Any idea how many fps you're getting? Have you downloaded any tweak utilities to overclock it?
Please define the basic function of an OS. Then point out an OS that is capable of performing that function without suffering from "glitches".
I'm actually on your side, but software fails. I know it sounds simple enough to count votes, but you need a communication layer, customizable forms, user input, authentication, storage system, graphic interface, etc. It's much more than iterating through a collection and incrementing totals.
The second point - you're right. I was thinking of something else and made an innacurate statement.
As for your first point - you're trying to turn what I said into saying that Google has a business deal with MS to help MS take of the world. Google made a choice to use those formats, and made a choice to release it for one platform, and they forgot to address security properly on that platform.

It's a significant land mass, it's not a tree. If we had the power to move it, we could just as easily hold it in place.
Hey, what a coincidence, somebody else is being forced to develop in .NET too!!!

Yahoo is beating them right now in terms of appropriate search results, as well as faster crawling and indexing.
Power Glove, end of discussion. I never had more fun with that thing than when I first opened the box.
Right click -> Open in New Window
You should be ashamed of yourself for not realizing that was a valid path. Your obviously failed to completely evaluate the scenario.
You're fired!!!(tm)
Quit complaining, I'm still waiting for the first page to completely load =P
There were classmates of mine with last names of D'abracci and D'angelo
Somebody could die the safest car in the world, and
it would still be the safest car in the world as long as more people died in other cars.

Actually, you cannot see more than the first 8 thumbnails since they are broken up into separate pages.
1.) Use old game cartridges to construct furniture
2.) Sell it on eBay as a geek collectible
3.) Profit
I rented "Dude, Where's My Car" and only watched the first 10 minutes of it. Do you think I even care how the ending was???

How ya gonna steal it without an internet connection?
Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I got a Radeon 9700 Pro. Works great on high settings in both Doom 3 and FarCry. I would expect it would run HL2 reasonably well also.
That's because it conceded to a superior operating system... emacs.
That's ok, they'll catch it in the recount when they tally all the paper receipts. ;)
You are? Is it this one...

No, Clinton got in for playing the saxaphone on Arsenio Hall.
