Actually, to quote Spock, "stations. Constucted on asteroids, they monitor the Neutral Zone established by treaty after the Earth-Romulan conflic over a centruy ago. As you may recall from your histories, this conflict was fought, by our standards today, with primative atomic weapons an in primitive space vessels, which allowed no quarter, no captives, re ws there evn ship to ship visual communication. Therefore, no human, Romulan, or allie has ever seen the other."

There was a war and they did not see eachother.

I have not seen it yet but I know Moore has a tendancy to bend the truth by making things seem to imply one thing when it is not really what happened. He just edits things so they seem to say what he wants it to say.

  3. new discs - new type of media. on Pioneer Electron Beam DVD · · Score: 1

Well, now that the large discs are there, some new type of media will develope that requires comparitivily large amounts of space. Does this mean that we will have movies in the from of 3d holograms?? or maybe we'll have holedec movies!? Wahoo, soon I will be able to watch Captain Kirk and some girl.... (err... ...I will be able to watch nice space battles in full 3d!)

  7. Explains more then one phenomina on What If Dark Matter Really Doesn't Exist? · · Score: 1

Explain this without dark matter. Or perhaps the nature of the rotation of galaxies. They would fly apart! It is not as though dark matter is only explaining one sinlge phenomena. If this was so then the theory would not hold well. It however explains more then just one (e.g. the two mentioned above).

  8. Why we should save it. on Space Tug to Save the Hubble? · · Score: 1

The Hubble Space telescope has allowed us to see marvolous things. The Galaxy cluster Abell 2218 is a dazzeling proof of the existance of dark matter. All the stuff we thought was what made up the Universe is only a small percent of what is out there. The Universe is a lot more then we thought it was. In the human races attempt to understand more we have come to know less and less. Long ago we almost knew everything when we "knew" that things that were hot contained fire and things that were heavy contained rock. Long ago we "knew" the Earth was really a flat plat supported on the back of a giant turtle. What if we never explored and tried to find out if the Earth was flat or not? There is no way to make exploration 100% safe. If we were indeed 100% safe we would never have explored and would never have progressed. The human race would be worthless and just a waste of space. As time went on we have come to learn how much there is out there. From the understanding of the galaxy to the realization that it is only one galaxy amoung a vast collection of "island universes." What we know as "the Universe" keeps getting bigger. And now, with this knowlage of the existance of dark matter, the known Universe has become even larger. We need to keep learning and trying to understand the Universe other wise what will become of us?

  9. The real Star Trek on Star Trek: Enterprise in Danger of Being Cancelled · · Score: 1

The Star Trek from the late 60's was a great show. What came after that was not really Star Trek. All though TNG was not a bad show or anything, it still was not really Star Trek. After TNG the TV shows that were called "Star Trek" were pretty horrible in my opinion. Star Trek was a show from a certain time and cannot truely be recreated. There can never be another Spock or Kirk.

A moon is a natural satellite revolving around a planet. There definition of a Planet is still somewhat ambigious. This is because we have not been able to observe other planet systems with great detail and thus have not been able to formulate a good definition of Planet.

Another ineresting fact about Uranus is that it was accidentally discovered in 1781 by the British astronomer Sir William Herschel and was originally named the Georgium Sidus (Star of George) Here are other facts about Uranus. http://kvtr.elte.hu/tnp/nineplanets/uranus.html
