That's just not true or you're doing something wrong. I've got 2 friends who bought Fallout:NV on disc, and they certainly do NOT need the disc to be in the drive since Steam handles all the DRM checks.
Maybe not twitter, but people have announced terror acts on the internet before, prior to doing it. That got ignored to and behold, a school got slaughtered.
Not saying we should act on every little internet post, but there has to be a line somewhere of what you can post. I have not read said "threat", but a threat to bomb an airport does sound like the kind of thing law enforcement should consider.
I think a slap on the wrist and maybe a small fine is in order. Just to tell the public "think before posting".
I bought it, it's mine ?? If I want to use it as a doorstop I will, if I figure out a way to cannibalise a sensor in it for some other purpose, I will. If I want to paint it green and shove it up my arse, I will.
FFS what's wrong with this planet?
Not under the DMCA. You may have bought it, but the DMCA may also prevent you from messing with it in certain ways.
Atleast, in some countries. Not mine, I can do what I want, but some countries;)
They'll lose potential income from games sales. If you buy a Kinect and use it for something else than an Xbox360, chances are you aren't buying games either.
Personally, I don't care about that argument, but just saying.
Well, I care since HTC Desire only comes with 100mb of internal space and that's where applications initially install. Only with FroYo came the ability to install on SD card, but that's up to the developer to enable.
And Mozilla didn't enable that in beta 3. Don't know if it's enabled in beta 4.
Or it's BETA with several DEBUG options included. I promply deleted it from my Desire when it ate half my memory pool, since it doesn't even support installing on SD card.
It's not a "weird" publisher/developer mix. EA does the exact same thing.
EA is both a publisher and a developer (albeit in subsidiaries).
Although, I do agree that Square Enix have been going down hill on the developer side for a while now. After the merger, things just seemed to go bad, don't know why.
Squaresoft and Enix were both good game companies.
I blame the "westernization" thing SquareEnix got going on these days.
Microsoft and Apple aren't just proclaiming the death of Blu-ray, but psychical media entirely. They are just using Blu-Ray as a front for that, as it's the biggest consumer disc currently.
I don't see psychical media dieing anything soon though.
I don't mind digital downloads, I see a use for it. But I also see a use for psychical media.
Wouldn't the gearbox be on your left side, if you're sitting in the right side of the car?
Maybe I misunderstood your post, but in England (and those few other countries that drive in the left side of the road), the driver is seated in the right side of the car and thus having the gearbox on the left side.

The thumb buttons are way to loose, and it breaks easier. Not nearly the same build quality as they used to be.
They may have brougt the old model back, but it's crap compared to the real 3.0.
I am no expert, but on more than one occasion, I've heard people mention that the DMCA covered messing with certain hardware as well.
Like hacking your console and so on.
As I said, I am no expert, and I am not a US citizen, so it's all by memory.
He said "the other guy".
I forgot his name, but someone made a driver before Marcan, but he didn't open source it.
They USED to, yes.
SOME of their hardware is still decent, but it's a guess work now.
I used to have Microsoft mouse, microsoft keyboard etc, because it was the best.
It worked, it never broke and felt solid.
Now, the MSIE 3.0 mouse, breaks if you drop it.
The manufacturing costs may be covered in the price, but the millions of dollars in R&D certainly isn't.

No, things disappear.
It was a huge problem with earlier GTA's, but it still exists in GTA:IV.
Sometimes you can even slowly turn the camera around 360 degrees and stuff where you started, are gone.
GTV:IV really is crap.
Sure, it got story, but the game have so much annoying crap.
RDR is good though.
I see what you did there.

BD is region free too.
As in, it's not forced on the production.
most of the content providers doesn't region lock their BD releases.
It's not required by the BD specs to be region locked, but the feature exists.
Read his post again.
He said what HE wants to do on mobile platforms doesn't require an app.
I'm sorry, I think way beyond the American market.
Not only because I am not an American myself, but that's just how I think.
Global market and all.
I actually meant biggest, as in highest capacity.
My mistake.
I'm glad you perceive 40% of his post as "all about Steve Jobs".
He made a side note, which is kind of relevant.
Relax.
Whoops, my spell checker went overboard there :P
What are you trying to say?
I really can't figure it out.
Microsoft and Apple aren't just proclaiming the death of Blu-ray, but psychical media entirely.

Get over it, they can both be here.
