OH stfu. You've been reading to much Ayn Rand. As it's already been stated - no one reaches these levels of success on their own. Yes he had a good idea, yes he worked hard to make it happen but he didn't do it in a vacuum. He was in the right place - at the right time. He came from a background of privilege. He had opportunities in his life that 98% of Americans, let alone humanity do not have.
Quit pretending that people who through ingenuity, hard work, and not a little bit of luck and fortune are somehow the salvation of humanity. It's f*%cking nauseating.
Also, I really like the PDF diting. I'm surprised no one else has jumped on that particular gem of functionality.
Holy crap - I didn't know it could edit PDF's. I'm sure it's not perfect but sometimes I just need to make a simple change. See - this is why I still read slashdot:)
I'm not going to waste any more of my time trying to debate with you
Of course you're not. Just keep telling yourself 'progressive bad' over and over again.
There is nothing socialist about this current administration. Universal healthcare is NOT socialism. Placing government controls over infrastructure is not socialism.
In a later post you mention how European socialist countries are struggling. You neglect to mention Norway and Sweden, the most socialist leaning countries of all.
I mostly LIKE barack but I seriously had to sit here for about 10 seconds and try to come to grips with fact that I just lost almost 6 months of my life and that today was April 1st.
Honestly - wtf were they thinking. If this is some kind of political maneuvering Obamas part then it's deserves to backfire on him. I wonder if he could refuse to accept the aware. Of course that too would have it's on political consequences
I've tried running our full pbx (15-20 users) off our comcast cable and I have nevered suffered so much in such a short period of time. We ended up going to a T1 and haven't had a single problem since.
The ideal situations for us is a channelized T1 with 12 channels voice and 12 channels data. That way we can do incoming on the voice (cheap) and outgoing on the data (cheap)
Of course, they sold business here to comcast so I expect the service to go to shit in a few months. Yep. Ever since Adelphia (Cartersville, Georgia) sold to Comcast, service has been terrible. Slow speeds during certain times of day HORRIBLE customer service, days when it doesn't work at all. I'm waiting until unbundled dsl is available here and then I'll probably downgrade to dsl-lite or something
huh?? Why wouldn't you want this if you have logins on about 30 different sites that you use on a daily basis. Do you have any idea how annoying it is to type in username/password 50 times a day?? With passwords saved I can just type in one master password when I fire up the browser and everything else is filled in. Sure there's a slightly security risk but come on. Unless you work for the pentagon, why would people not use this??
I like cspan as much as the next guy but COME ON. Who's gonna watch 4 hours of one congressional speaker after another just to distill the 2 or 3 non-trivial things that get said
I don't know what version you were trying to install but every openbsd install starting with 3.5 has been nothing but simplicity in itself to go through. I've never had a single instance of network cards not being recognized and all my hardware is right there when you start up. Of course - there really isn't a gui installer so if you're not comfortable at the cl you might be a little disconcerted
Why have XP? I'm still using 2000. Is there honestly any reason to upgrade besides the UI (which I'm not overly fond of anyways). I can't think of a single reason I want XP, let alone Vista on my computer.

Checked it out. No free Desktop client hardly makes for a viable replacement for mass use.
Just Curious; I'm swiss (living in the USA).. Why switzerland?
Like this? http://xkcd.com/900/
Not sure what you mean by 'activated'. Both Single and MultiPlayer modes work just fine. I bought the game 3 days ago and haven't had any issues.
I wonder if anyone outside the South Eastern united states knows that there's 'Sunday School' for grown ups? I certainly didn't before I moved here!

But its nice to record three hidef shows simultaneously, and watch a recorded fourth if I wanted.
You must be watching different TV than me - I can't find three shows a week to watch let alone simultaneously
Thank you for the link to driver pack - I've been looking for something like this for a long time

Its only a matter of time (pun intended) till this plays out and turns into the world's first hyperdrive.
It's only a matter of time until we're all consumed in a fiery death
I hope you donate to the project in this case

I get no guarantees with FF
Exactly. A level playing field would mean you actually have to have a SUPERIOR product for your business to succeed
How about openbsd? You can do some fairly fancy queuing and packet prioritizing with pf. Unfortunately nothing beyond wep.
stittsville is a a wanabe suburb :)
Yeah right,
Like there's a choice for broadband.

Hear hear.
aye aye.
People who don't know what this really implies are going to be dumbfounded when they find out
Honest question.
