I had a 6220 back in the day and ran LinuxPPC on it for many years. I got used to Linux. Since OS X came about the need for Linux isn't as much but I still keep it in VMWare.
The company I work for is just moving from XP to WIn7 this summer as they roll out new hardware. So I feel fairly certain I will never see 8 on my company computer.
He is also extremely popular with his constituents, who fully support the way he operates his office. The US Justice Department now has him as a target (since the Obama Administration came to power) due to his enforcement of Immigration laws. In Arizona he polls 11 points higher than Obama so he is popular statewide.
I would point out that when Charlie Rangel and some other politicians started denigrating the volunteer soldiers as a bunch of lower class, uneducated people with no prospects, as study found that they were generally middle class and better educated than the citizenry as a whole. http://www.heritage.org/research/nationalsecurity/cda05-08.cfm

But he did give a speech last year to the media where he told them that it was past time to allow dissenting voices to be heard as they only confused people. He said the debate was over and those few voices from the other side were outliars (intentional misspelling) and must be ignored One wonders how many millions of dollars he has made as he flies about the world in his private jet, travels in his SUVs and lives in his massive mansions.

But the more the RIAA tries to argue that I can't take my CD, rip it to my computer to put it on my iPod, the more likely people are to say, screw them and their stupid rules. Most of the analogies they try to make comparing someone building a shack in my backyard to someone downloading a song is not going to make much sense to most of us non-intellectuals. The squatter is depriving me of the use of part of my land.
I still have a Yahoo! home page that I visit on a daily basis. If Microsoft buys them, I will quickly delete that bookmark and will never visit it again. I would highly doubt that I would be alone in that either. Google and Mozilla haven't alienated large groups of people (Google seems to be working on it at times) the way Microsoft have. So I don't think this is going to turn out to be such a great thing for them. Kind of like AOL. Look how valuable that looked to TW, how did that turn out?
You must not get out much. America bashing is always one of the more popular sports in much of the world. We know how China would run it, the Saudis just gave some woman 200 lashes for being raped (I know you are going to say it is more complicated than that) so I can imagine their idea on the free flow of ideas. But still the Yanks are the worst you know.

But this was the year that everyone was supposed to buy a new PC so that they could start using the great new OS from Microsoft, Vista. It didn't happen so I think that a lot of manufacturers are concerned. Their projections to Wall Street probably included a spike that hasn't happened. Now they have some splainin' to do.
Even then, there would be a some meaning for precedence sake but not much. To have significant meaning they would need to appeal the decision to an appellate court for review and lose there also. Then you would have precedent that would have meaning within that appellate court's jurisdiction and may even be referred to by other appellate courts when they would consider the matter.

Just like fuel blends. The ones in California are cleaner than the rest of the country. It is state mandated, not federal. Sorry.
It's the new era. We used to love every dictator out there that wasn't on the side of the Soviets. They were looked upon as being on our side, so we would "overlook" their indiscretions. Now it is about Islamo-terrorism. If you help us (or at least say you are), then you are once again embraced regardless of other baggage that may come along. Remember the Bush doctrine, you are either with us or against us.
