    O(1) doesn't mean the time is constant, but that in the limit it is bounded by a constant. It can get enourmous, then shrink for large inputs. It could go to 0 in fact.

    I think I read that the original motivation came from an interest in cloning the Seeka deer, which lives on an island off of South Carolina. This deer is strange because it has 5 stomachs, and was of interest for some medical reason.

    I've always thought it is unfair that only odd numbers can be prime. Why not define a number to be prime if its only possible divisors are pm 1, pm itelf, OR possibly pm 2. That way we would have a much richer collection of numbers to consider as prime.

    Genetic algorithms are completely heuristic. It sounds cool that the idea of evolution is being used for optimization, but there is no real logic to it. I would like to see evidence that genetic algorithms produce any better results than other methods on a reasonably large class of problems.

    Call me grumpy, but I say they are a fad.

    Was it just me or was this movie (and the 2nd) preoccupied with appearing diverse ? It was really a distraction, and reminded me of the gangs in Charles Bronson movies of the 70's.
