Why would it? A P4 or even a P3 is still more then enough for the majority of people. Unlike going from a 386->486->Pentium, when you upgrade from a P4 to whatever is current you get very little tangible results. That is the current problem, several generations ago they had chips that did what is needed well enough for some time. They have to enter a price war with AMD because AMD is the current favorite among people who are silly enough to upgrade every time there is a 5% increase in performance. Intel has a hold on the market of people that only upgrade when needed, which is bad for companies that rely on selling pretty much the same thing over and over with little more change then a new name and box.

What Xenosaga? Hell no, I'm approaching 20h on it, have no clue what's going on, there's a feeling of anticipation every time I go around a corner and I picked it up for around $25. I have Episode 2 waiting and picked it up for about the same.

I would look at $20 for 5 hours to be a ripoff. A game at $20 for 5h or less is selling you 1/10th the game for only 1/3 the price.

    On price alone

Price is almost irrelevant as the cost of both the 360 and PS3 will come down, it only matters right at launch. Even then, a console will never 'win' based on price as the console on its own is useless if it doesn't have the games you want to play. Both the 360 and the PS3 have large franchises that almost guarantee good sales.

Consoles 'winning' or 'loosing' a generation only matters to the bottom line of the company making them. Users only care about the games available. You want to play Zelda, you have no choice of console, you want to play Halo, you have no choice of console, you want to play the next Final Fantasy, you have no choice of console. Win or loose didn't matter.

Because that would be fraud. However with the absolutely perfect set of circumstances with their current setup you would get what you thought you were paying for. Like every other time in life, the perfect circumstances never happen and they can pass that off as not their fault.

Americans as a group are lazy. They spend most of their day trying to look busy while actually doing nothing. The stress they get from their job is often of their own doing, since if they would get stuff done if they would do it rather then work at avoiding it they wouldn't have to worry about everything relating to it.

I'm not saying that Americans are the only lazy people around, but to claim that Americans as a group have a work ethic is a joke. Looking at how hard people work to do no work, it's amazing anything ever gets done.
