Well, I'm not asian, but I'd have to agree (however, I would broaden the scope to east asia in general not just China). And actually one could say it's as large an effect as the Great Wall or anything else that is memorable for decades to come. Maybe not this single act but a pattern of constantly driving culture through business. Hate it or love it, East Asia has definitely had a major hand in getting appliances and computers in the hands of every working class person in the world. Without the way they mass produce products the concept of old Billy Gates and Jobs of a PC in every home would never have come to fruition.

Yes, I know exactly what Rose's product is and does. If you read other peoples posts they even list some things. There are tons of tool bar addins and little 3rd party apps that do what his does. Some do it better than others but especially since WinXP and it's new GUI interface they have been comping out of the woodworks. Some of the best ones are XML based by the way.

Yes, if you know how, you can apply service packs, patches and hotfixes on-the-fly without rebooting. Granted quite a few services were restarted but how's that different than ANY OS.

Before insulting my administration skills I would do a little research on the matter. ;) I do not comment on Linux aspects of which I know little, but then I'm not a zealot nor imply to know everything. ;)

I mean Linux is cool too and all...but if you get equally knowledgible techs on both OS's you'd be surprised to find they are almost equally stable now. Not refencing any other Linux pro or con--just addressing the uptime/stability factor you mentioned.

Second, I can't help if people don't mod up some of the really informative posts I have made--like the greek speech says people see the bad and never the good. Third, I'd rather have bad karma and still have the courage to show my face than post as an anonymous coward. It's very easy to talk big when no one knows who you are so I don't see how you can comment on posting at all since as far as we know you have NEVER posted anything intelligent. :p

*get's off soapbox* That is the last I'm going to waste in this topic just retorting back to your worthless posts and wasting perfectly good post space. My original comment was valid and anything else from/to you is simply a waste of these good people's time.

P.S. I love how hostile you got even when I actually even said you were right. Interesting. Just sounds like a troll trying to stir crap up.

You apparently do NOT flash anything in a corporate environment. I don't care how you next respond I can tell you DEFINITELY do not... or at least not different business class brands ( you've just done feature rich gaming boards). While it's true Dell, IBM, Gateway, etc. have now gone to single-file BIOS update files for many of their newer PC's, MANY of their slightly older models and even some new still absolutely want a floppy to write to. Now granted you can then burn to CD but you had to have a floppy in there at some point.

I hate the fact it's still here, but the floppy is years away from being dead to at least corporate techs if nothing else. Any comments to the contrary tell me what you're working on--or should I say not. ;-)
