>Some People rip and encode to MP3 for legitimate private use, not for piracy
Well yeah, if I leave my front door open, some people might just have a look at my wonderfull collections, check out my home theater setup and go away, but others would just take everything and run away. So, should I leave the door open because some people may not steal anything?
My average varies from week to week, last week it was about 4.6 kB, some are even 7.4 kB. The largest messages are usually 13-14 kB (one was 41, but it was in Russian).
>They're negotiating a surrender? Sounds like something I'd see on prime time USA, with a SWAT team and about fifty riflemen with guns trained on a panoramic storefront window
Now we can only hope that the next Rainbow Six game features spammers...
I don't know how the EU deals with it, but it results in all products having at least 2 years, except for stuff like Intel processors and high-end drives which have 3 years, etc.
>For instance, there's still this [theregister.co.uk] unpatched hole in IE that MS doesn't seem inclined to do much about right now.
but this doesn't mean thats ok, the way it should be. I mean for example if MS didn't patch their soft at all, would it be ok for others to stop patching and fixing stuff and say 'Hey! Microsoft doesn't patch so we won't!'
The Russian's worst nightmare is a Czech guy sitting on an American tank eating noodles with chopsticks on the new Finnish-Chinese border, so I don't think they would be helping this dream come true.
But those processors running a few Ghz would perform like a Pentium Pro, or close to it. Of course they could be used in other portable stuff, but not in normal PCs.

As far as I know (I am not a GPL guru), it is acceptable to have source available on request only.

>So, that makes Linux an OS OS then?

Now lets go back:
1987 - Bad Rings
1989 - Meet the Hobbits
1992 - Hobbitdead
I misread this as "You can get a Windows/PC emulator for both calculators"
