  1. Re:A Distraction from H1-B on Tech Companies To Lobby For Immigrant 'Dreamers' To Remain In US (reuters.com) · · Score: 1

All white "Americans" of European descent are illegals in my opinion. US history shows that the land was cruelly stolen from native Americans. For the descendents of the land thieves to now claim some sort of entitlement is ridiculous.

Americans invaded the native land in most/many cases where they didn't buy it. It is nice that you admit the current crop of illegals is an invading force. They should be treated accordingly, the way the US Natives perhaps should have treated the Spanish, French and English?

A backhoe, an overpaid operator, contracted maintenance, financing for said backhoe, fancy accountant at the home office to deal with a depreciating asset, fleet supervisor to manage company cars for the job site foreman. Insurance for the machine, a CDC driver to deliver the big equipment, ooh, another depreciating capital expense - the truck, more insurance for the truck, Drug testing for operators, Yep, just a backhoe is all anyone needs.

Of course they are. Why is that relevant to Cortana and Skype?

Because this article is about the theft of your car's hood ornament. Google FB and amazon are going through your sock drawer and have a moving van backed up to your garage door. Not that MS wouldn't do the same, but there is a much bigger privacy issue from bigger players going on. This is an interesting article, but small potatoes. The creepiness of microsoft's linked-in intrusuions is much scarier if we want to have a MS alarmist article. I'd like to see it explained for the layman how MS are able to (technically and legally) harvest outlook contacts from a corporate exchange server or the most random people you have contacted on craigslist through your gmail account simply by logging into their website and suggesting you may know them. That may open some eyes.

I guess that pretty much rules out skype on android or iphone being an issue, so is this just a Win 10 "problem"? Wake me when we are pissed at Amazon, Facebook, and Google for the probe they have installed in all of us.

Why the hell is it that someone mentions how bad a Microsoft product is some idiot tries to bring up some vague feature no one every uses a justification as to why they're gear isn't shit. Honestly, in what fantasy world does it matter that you can dick around with your contacts better? Is that all you do all day? Dick around with your contact lists and SMS over Bluetooth? Because I can't think of a single feather that matters LESS than SMS contacts and Bluetooth capability.

You've got to be kidding? A phone is precisely made to communicate audibly and visually to your contacts. Plenty of reasons to dislike the platform in question. if you want to screw with a walled garden of fantastic apps or have a pocket computer to play with yourself, then you are absolutely right that there are better things out there. Sounds like you don't have a reason to dislike it except a screaming roommate. I'd buy her an old 4s or a Samsung S4 rather than listen to some one that "SCREAMS" because "HATES IT" instead of having an actual reason.
