  1. Review the lead up on Airport Security Prize Announced · · Score: 1

to 9/11: Clinton knew about the attempts to destroy the WTC- there was one on his watch, but, when Bush took office, he & Rice flatly refused to listen the warnings, vene refusing to meet with the outgoing administration's people. and the warnings were dire, and coming not only from Clinton's crew, but from the international community as well. But, true to from, Bush, in his "I'm am not going listen to you I know better than you because I am better than you" form, ignored it all, and look what Bush caused. All it would have taken would be a heightened security alert at check in, and the attack would have never happened. A simple empty your pockets & check that carry one was all it would have taken. It is so simple, and yet, Bush caused the deaths of thousands by his pride & negligence. And I would bet that 90% of America cannot tell you why the WTC was attacked: it was because America had troops on Saudi holy soil and Bin Laden believed that American troops should not be there. Please note that right after 9/11, Bush removed American troops from Saudi Arabia. Think how different it would have been if the troops were removed before 9/11. No attack... That said, Bush created this climate of fear and has manipulated it for profit & power. The "terrorist" thing is a paper tiger- a boogie man. Bin Laden has accomplished his goals. America has destroyed itself and has more to fear from domestic terrorists than from International ones.

Smokers are drug addicts, and they will always ignore this fact and complain of their "right" to smoke. that is why they will smoke even when diagnosed with lung cancer. OK, by that logic, is there a "right" to shoot heroin? Smoke crack / PCP? Of course not, but just because the government says it's legal to use this drug, but illegal to use that drug, doesn't make the legal drug safe to use. And, just like a user of hard drugs, the user / smoker has no "right" to impose his use or the side effects of his use on others- smokers will deny that their drug use endangers other people's health. Smokers are hard drug users, and the sooner they own up and quit using nicotine, the better for all of us.

  14. Re:The problem with biometrics on Hardware That Recognizes You · · Score: 1

Parent. check Owns gun. check. Victim of violent crime. check. First problem. Most people that own guns ignore what they can do. A gun is lightweight, easily handled, kind of fun to wave around and point at things, real fun on a target range, and easy to store or hide. BUT real easy to kill or injure somone with. Since I would guess that 80% of the gun owners have never taken marksmanship courses, gun safety courses, self defense with gun courses, etc., then most hardware gun safety issues are there to protect the untrained idiot from him / her self. There ae a lot of ways to protect yourself and your family, and a gun should be the last of a list of how tos. And when you do put it in your hand, you must KNOW that you hold in your hand, the tool to kill a person, whether you do or not. People watch too many cop shows and have no idea how to defend a home home invasion with kids in the house. Always, the first thing to do is to try to evacuate the house without confrontation. Never yell out "I have a gun!" until you have the thing pointed at the intruder, and have made sure that this is indeed an intruder. Then you follow that statement with, "and it is pointed right at you. Do not move at all, put both hands in the air, NOW! If you balk, I will shoot you." Then fire the gun into something close by the intruder to show you mean business. And be 110% prepared to follow that shot with one to the body, aimed to kill, if the intruder does not do what you say, promptly. And never keep a loaded gun in a place that is accessable. The problem is how to keep it safe but easy to get to, and that is where fingerprint security on a gun safe, combined with an access code, would do the best job. One hand gives the thumbprint, the other punches the code buttons, and the safe is open, in about three seconds. this is less time than to get the gun from the top of the closet, find the bullets or clips and load the gun. So I think it is better to use thign slike retina ID, fingerprints, etc. on safes, not on the gun itself, unless it is for police use, where the gun is disabled if it is taken away from the officer.

Ch's review misstates and lies. CH Is a repub hack, so, of course he lies to support Bushit. And, of course, CH ignores the point of the movie, and drags out every red herring and hot word he can, to distract us away from this point, and the point is this: Bushco started a war based upon ideology, religious fanaticsm and lies. The movie clearly shows Bush being unable to do anything without being told, and certainly unable to lead: the seven minutes reading a kid's book, and the "watch this drive" clip, underscore this. But what do you expect from a wealthy slilver spooned frat boy who has a long record of being handed businesses and running them in the ground? This is not a pro- Democrat movie, but a movie that shows how the current leadership has ruined the U.S.'s international reputation. It is a movie that shows what happens when people with no leadership skills whose first motivation is to line to pockets of their corporate backers, try to runs things- something we have all witnessed with PHBs. It is a movie that shows how Busco has ignored the US Bill of Rights and Constitution, and has bent the rules to fit their agenda, and ignored the advice of wiser men when it gets in the way of their plans, and led the US into calamity. It is a movie that shows how Buscho ignored the real enemy (bin Laden) and attacked a toothless blowhard tyrant (Saddam) in an oil grab, and, instead of destroying terrorism, actualy has magnified it. It is a movie that shows the war built on lies, and lies on top of lies, and denials on top of lies. And it is a movie that shows the effect of war on real American, not those who, because of money and position, will never have to sacrifice a thing. To call the movie untruthful is nothing but a propananda lie in itself. The most damning clips are public, and Buscho condemns itself with little help from Moore. What amazed me is the look on Bush's face as he is told about the WTC attacks- a total blank, a deer in the headlights- no one home. that look convinced me that this clown shouldn't be a dog catcher - send him back to his country club wher he can play canasta, golf, and drink away from the commoners, and where he can do no harm. I will see the movie a few times. To those outside of the US, take heart. This movie will bring together those who want to put the US back on the principles it was founded on, and restore America as a worthy leader of the world, a leader who sees the need for the world to work together. And this movie will awaken the sheeple who had a nagging idea that they were being fed a line of crap. Oh yes, and this moving will reveal, like CH, the desperation of the Repubs and neocons to keep the truth from getting out. Watch them get more bizarre as the movie spreads.
