  1. Well.... Be more protective of your tunes then! on iTunes DRM-Free Files Contain Personal Info · · Score: 2, Interesting

I don't see a problem with this. Apple is providing a file without DRM, and you can then load it on any of your personal devices. Heck, you could even share it with a friend.

But, it might make you a little more careful NOT to put music files you purchase from Apple on a P2P network. Sheesh. It might add a little value to those files you downloaded at a buck a piece. It'll be worth it to you to keep those files safe.

And why not? People should be safeguarding their personal data.

And think about it.. if your iPod were stolen, and all of your files had an email address on it. It could help with the recovery of stolen property, hm?

The original poster's name is "Vote McCain in 2008!". Someone tell me this post isn't really part of his political effort to elect McSame.

I'd rather a politician who can recognize when he's in the wrong, and restate his position, than a politician that is continually wrong, and won't budge.

    W. And McSame are those politicians.

Besides, hooray that Republicans can use web diff tools. Whoopie-fuckin'-doo. Can they get us out of this Iraq war? John McCain said we could be there 100 years!

Later he said 10 years.. and later 5 more years. Can't HE make up his mind already?

Either way, get this political crap out of here. Next someone will be telling me that Republicans figured out how to send email.

For cripes sake you might want to look into getting your OCD and germ phobia looked into though. :)

  8. Wellll... on How To Spot E-Vote Tampering? · · Score: 1
It's not the Republicans want to keep people from voting, it's just that they'd rather people not vote who are in heavily Democratic (or anti-Republican) districts.

But that, aside... you're more likely to run across incompetence than actual voter fraud. Or situations where the voting worker hands out the wrong ballot, or thinks that "American Independent" means "No Party"...

Or won't use the vote checking machines, or other technology available. I suppose you could keep an eye on anyone with a thumb drive, if you have electronic voting machine. In all honesty your voter fraud is going to come from within than from your average "Joe Voter" who votes both YES and NO for a proposition.

Look, Dr. Who is the longest running SciFi show (even the Next Generation Series) for a reason. From 1963 through 1989 they kept churning out Doctor Who episodes. They changed Doctors, companions, villains, and even TARDISes... they've also changed writers, producers, directors, staff, and what have you.

Could they not just turn the reins over to the next group of people willing to take it on? It seems such a shame to revive a show, make it awesome and well loved (in the UK anyway), and then kill it off after 4 piddly years? Stupid Stupid Stupid. As long as they can still sell DVDs in the US they shouldn't stop.

I don't believe in this "stopping before we get burnt out crap", just find people to continue it. That's how it's worked in the past (to some degress of success admittedly).
