I don't see a problem with this. Apple is providing a file without DRM, and you can then load it on any of your personal devices. Heck, you could even share it with a friend.
But, it might make you a little more careful NOT to put music files you purchase from Apple on a P2P network. Sheesh. It might add a little value to those files you downloaded at a buck a piece. It'll be worth it to you to keep those files safe.
And why not? People should be safeguarding their personal data.
And think about it.. if your iPod were stolen, and all of your files had an email address on it. It could help with the recovery of stolen property, hm?
Of what the Chinese astronauts are supposed to say, including their emotional state and excitement. Those clever Chinese, they can't leave anything to chance after all!
Wait, was it "One small step for A man?" or "One small step for man?" Dang I forget...
Honestly, if the only case the prosecution has is possible evidence on an iPhone, their case is pretty shaky to begin with. Do REAL WORLD investigation you Nazi-a-holes, not worry about virtual evidence that you might or might not be able to get to!
The original poster's name is "Vote McCain in 2008!". Someone tell me this post isn't really part of his political effort to elect McSame.
I'd rather a politician who can recognize when he's in the wrong, and restate his position, than a politician that is continually wrong, and won't budge.
W. And McSame are those politicians.
Besides, hooray that Republicans can use web diff tools. Whoopie-fuckin'-doo. Can they get us out of this Iraq war? John McCain said we could be there 100 years!
Later he said 10 years.. and later 5 more years. Can't HE make up his mind already?
Either way, get this political crap out of here. Next someone will be telling me that Republicans figured out how to send email.
I say get a freakin' life and don't worry about germs so much. If you've already had it, the germs on your laptop aren't going to re-infect you. (You're immune to that strain.) Also, germs only live so long on surfaces...
For cripes sake you might want to look into getting your OCD and germ phobia looked into though.:)
It's not the Republicans want to keep people from voting, it's just that they'd rather people not vote who are in heavily Democratic (or anti-Republican) districts.
But that, aside... you're more likely to run across incompetence than actual voter fraud. Or situations where the voting worker hands out the wrong ballot, or thinks that "American Independent" means "No Party"...
Or won't use the vote checking machines, or other technology available. I suppose you could keep an eye on anyone with a thumb drive, if you have electronic voting machine. In all honesty your voter fraud is going to come from within than from your average "Joe Voter" who votes both YES and NO for a proposition.
Try this experiment. Go to a playground with a merry-go-round. You might have to go old school for that. Now stand on the edge and propel it, oh, clockwise. Get it going pretty fast. Now try to reach for the middle. Better yet, drop a coin like a probe from the planet earth. Where does it go? Toward the center?
The original photo was more than likely FILM, not digital. They had to wait for the astronauts to come home before developing it. From the probe they're doing "HD" resolution and the image is NOW baby!:)
I kind of like NOW over "film at 11"... but that's just me.
I believe that many Christians might find dropping "the book" (aka Bible) in the toilet to be just as demeaning and degrading to them.
Maybe these "Christians" should stop worshiping idols (a "book")? They place more symbolism in books, wooden crosses, buildings, images of Christ than their god would really wish them to do. Just sayin'...
Well, at least suicide isn't considered a "hate crime" yet.
But yeah, attempted suicide, at any rate, is a crime. If you succeed, not much they can do about it, huh?
Much like CDs, the initial purchase should have paid for the "license" to sell the thing however you wish, at whatever price you wish. Of course RIAA would rather each person who touches a CD pay the full purchase price.
I think this will get shot down... or at least we can only hope and pray that it does.
I realize that they're talking about products that the manufacturer WANTS to be sold only a higher prices, not through eBay for a bargain. But you know, if I paid the manufacturer price for an item I should be able to see it however I wish, right?
Nobody cares about "geographic boundaries".. and certainly not the nerds using Slingbox. MmmHmm.
Didn't you lose enough "customers", I mean "fans" after the last baseball strike to learn that you guys suck? In the words of something from the '70's. "Keep On Sucking!" You've just found a new way to alienate the possible few fans you do have.
Look, Dr. Who is the longest running SciFi show (even the Next Generation Series) for a reason. From 1963 through 1989 they kept churning out Doctor Who episodes. They changed Doctors, companions, villains, and even TARDISes... they've also changed writers, producers, directors, staff, and what have you.
Could they not just turn the reins over to the next group of people willing to take it on? It seems such a shame to revive a show, make it awesome and well loved (in the UK anyway), and then kill it off after 4 piddly years? Stupid Stupid Stupid. As long as they can still sell DVDs in the US they shouldn't stop.
I don't believe in this "stopping before we get burnt out crap", just find people to continue it. That's how it's worked in the past (to some degress of success admittedly).
That's how I first read the subject for this and I was thinking, "Great. The fruit flys will soon start spamming everyone telling them how they TOO can get a 'Free Wii'..."
It is a very elegant solution! If you want the digital version, you just have to use your bandwidth to download. Providing a physical CD with the vinyls puts manufacturing a CD back on the record company. (Not to dis your suggestion.. just.. they should only have to provide one physical format, and an optional digital format. Awesome!):)

Why do I imagine a horde of Dalek lawyers? "Legislate! Legislate!"
...that could be used against them?
Honestly, if the only case the prosecution has is possible evidence on an iPhone, their case is pretty shaky to begin with. Do REAL WORLD investigation you Nazi-a-holes, not worry about virtual evidence that you might or might not be able to get to!
No need. John McCain is actually older than Scrabble.

Hell, I skip the articles about skipping the ads.

Teenage geeks have difficulty getting laid... this is surprising news HOW exactly?

If the song your brother sang was "Happy Birthday To You" he's really screwed!
http://inicia.es/de/kwisatz/ It's almost like that 10m^1 thing.
No! That's the real Goatse!!!!
That they can't reply "Go To Hell" and leave it at that.
