Ask yourself this: about what this article is? That guy who disassembled that player is actually (probably not intentionaly) advertising Rio brand. Anyone who wants 5GB compact flash will want one. I'm sure there is someone in the/. crowd who will buy it. Heck, even I am interested in it.
Would I steal to feed my family? (...) Wrong is wrong.
If a man has to steal to feed his family, he and his family have been let down by the state. Any state in which you have to steal to survive is wrongly administered. You have no moral responsability in regards to the state and therefore you may and should do what ever necessary to keep your family alive. Maybe the police will put that man in jail but administration cannot have higher moral ground in that case. There cannot be higher moral ground than saving someones life.
Likewise, I feel slightly confused when you say that you would steal if you have no other choice, and then imply it's wrong. Lets observe this:
Stealing to survive in State X is wrong. Then you follow up with stealing is wrong. Therefore if that family has to act morally, there is no other choice than death from hunger. But, in my opinion there is a problem in the state and their "moral" rules.
If that man ends up in jail I know who did the right thing.
Why only politics based on the US elections? Isn't it better to have permanent world/global politics section? I'm thinking here of many political themes which are quite represented on/. through this many years.
Many of the articles come from seriously left-leaning rags. BuzzFlash, for example, is hyperliberal, and the editorials are often kind of tin-foil hat (emphasis mine)
You really must be trolling. When did left-wing politics and/or liberalism became symbol of bad journalism?
Are you implying that there can't be right-wing bad journalism?
Think about this next time you post crap like that:
Repeat after me:
Left-wing==Left-wing Right-wing==Right-wing Li beralism==Liberalism Good journalism==Good journalism Bad journalism==Bad journalism Bad journalism!=liberalism
Is that so hard? You are just trying to mix apples and iron.
I use my earlier corrupted HD for slicing soft items after making some big changes in its circuitry.
I have mounted my CDROM's tray on wall, cut out a piece of plastic artistically and now it holds abt 10 pens, a cup of water, and upto 5 CDs, all separately in diff slots.
And here I am, wondering why geeks are female repellents. Poor me.
Older siemens mobile phones had two speakers. One was normal speaker and the other was just for ringing. When batteries reached minimum the ringing speaker sounded with ear piercing beeps but fortunately the speaker was placed on the side of the phone.
Todays phones have one speaker for both communication and ringing. So siemens probably sticked to their software design and implemented it in the modern phones. The result is obviously not so satisfying considering those high pitched tones resonating in your ear.
No one should go to prison or not based substantially on the size of their purse, with respect to the size of the state's purse.
Ok. What if the defendants lawyer is paid the same amount of (state) money as the prosecutor is? That way, lawyers (I mean both sides) would take pride in doing their job, and the state at the same time can regulate the wages.
I must admit that I pulled it out from my memory (watching bbc way to much; and i still believe what i said before) but here are some interesting links which report that Coalition Provisional Authority is not as clean as should be concerning revenues from the iraqi oil.
"Not only that, but they won't last nearly as long: they'll either get wet, simply stop working, or wear out electronically long before a Rolex begins to stop keeping the correct time."
Never heard about G-Shock line of watches by Casio? Or some scuba diving digital watches?
Wouldnt be nice to be a little more informed before making such ridiculous statements?
PS I've heard that Rolex watches arent that precise at timekeeping. Can somebody confirm that?
Here in Croatia it is *required by law* to have ID card w/ you *all the time*. If policeman who stopped you even in front of your own home finds out that you don't have ID with you, that's just a bad luck and say hello to a fine. I know people who went to a "small court" (me don't know the english term) because of that and paid a bigger fine. If you can't/wont' pay the fine you go to jail no questions asked. Just because law says you have to have ID with you all of the fcuking time.
Give them Tim Sebastian. That guy rocks big time!

Its free advertising, and the positive one.

Look at the date on the bottom of the page, it explains everything.

But every defendant should have the same counter-prosecutor.
;)
You mean a lawyer?
I agree with the other points though.
You've got Liberal Democrats in the Senate?
;)
Wow, I'm impressed
Kill Bill vol.2
The former is brain damaging to adults, and the latter is the most boring movie of the recent time.

It sounds like they were using Bullshit Generator

You can't do that. 15" monitor can display 1024*768 at best be it TFT or CRT.
