Right on! I have been involved with the design of at least 5 disaster recovery plans. The first one was while I was in the Air Force. I guess I was pretty luck, learning at the age of 19, that preparing for successfull disaster recovery is a continous process. The main output of a disaster recovery development process, are those binders. I guess thats why so many people confuse disaster recovery with the binders. But they are only the result of a process; just like a piece of software is created as part of a process. And like software, the binders need to be tested and reviewed regularly.

I've seen some of the Hunter X Hunter Manga, but it was in Japanese. I am learning the language (though I have put that project on hold while looking for a job), but I am nowere close to being able to read Manga so I can't comment about the story. On the other hand, the artwork is great.

As far as Naruto, all I can say is WOW. The first time I had seen it, I got three pages and it became my favorite. The issue I am talking about is Number 10:Target 2. Naruto has got to be one of the best examples of the use of art as an integral component in propelling the story, i.e. if you don't pay attention to the art, in detail, you will miss the story.

I am actualy interested in doing graphic novels or animation. So much so, that I will be starting school in the spring to get a degree in art. I have also been working on an experimental graphic novel of my own. I know what I want to do with my art and Masashi Kishimoto has become my guide in learning how to do it. BTW, I realy appreciate VIS publishing un-flopped Manga. Flopping Naruto would probably do damage.

Oh, I see. Your the shmuck. Bypassing the system does nothing to fix the system. Using the system on the other hand goes a long way to demonstrate its problems. Reporting on those problems adds to presure to having the system changed. If on the other hand, had the reviewer merely clicked through and installed Linux, he would have not produced any data point demonstrating the problem with Dell, AND he could very well have violated one or more of the unread EULA he just agreed to. After all, it is only a mater of time befor EULAs are written to prevent just this. Your solution of just bending over and letting Dell have its way is unacceptable. Not only that, but it will not do anything to cause Dell to change anything. In fact, it sound like that is just what Dell wants people to do. On the other hand, press coverage of the issue, documenting the problems, will put presure on Dell.

As someone who has designed and implemented systems, it is realy aggrevating to find out a year later, that the system does not work right because the users of the system just hacked around the flaws. That leads to a situation were there is no system.

And what was that comment about "bucking the system". "Oh, I'm a real man because I buck the 'system'." Get a life. Bucking the system solves nothing at all. It just makes you a dick.

I am glad that Yoshiro Togashi decided to call enough enough. On the other hand, my neighbors son likes the YYH "Dark Tournement" stuff. He also likes "Drag-On Ball Zzzz". If the cost of the development tools, target, and liscensing becomes signifigant, game programmers will abandon the consoles in favour of PCs. Game writing is probably best done as a team effort, like most programming tasks. Even though a book has a single author on the title, a team was involved in producing it.
