    You've never heard of the great zombie writer John Doe? His fifth novel "Brains, sweet Brains" is a classic, a social commentary of the plight of the zombie in pre-Rodriguez America. He who walks in this world but belongs neither is this or the next.
    I love that opening line: "Ugggghhhhh,want braiiinssss...."

    Truly a masterful telling of the walking dead experience...

    The implication being that at some point they left. But outside the "geek community and high-tech development" as you put it, suits have always been their. Lawyers and businessmen and most non-uniformed male professionals have been wearing essentially the same clothes for the last 80 years or so. Pretty much only hats disappeared and maybe suspenders. Male business fashion doesn't change much.

    there is a "PAUSE" button which stops any additions to your search history until you RESUME it.

    Reminds me of those crossing buttons they have at Traffic lights. Most of them aren't even hooked up to anything. The lights are completely computer controlled from traffic sensors.

    I've got enough placebo buttons in my life...

    Whatever happened to reasoned thought? I don't support China violating the rights of its citizens but I saturation bombing and puppet revolutions as a longterm solution to a problem either

    I hate to bash my Karma but my scroll wheel recently bought it, and while I won't ever sink to an iPod, when I decide to get a replacement those bastards at Rio won't be getting my money. Imagine $150 to fix a mouse wheel on an MP3 player I paid $200 for.

    I do need something with OGG support though. No way I'm re-encoding 3.5GB of music...

    The main thing I don't like about the shuffle is that I listen to almost all my music by album. Most of the time if the musician knows what they're doing it sounds better* that way.

    On the other hand since buying an MP3 player last year my music collection has only "ballooned" to about 3 and half gigabytes This because I delete or don't bother with stuff I know I'll get tired of quickly. I've yet to meet someone with 30+ GB of music, of a reasonable bitrate that didn't have 20+ GB of crap. And by crap I don't mean taste-wise. By crap I mean stuff they have that they've never and won't ever listen to more than twice, and occasionally not even once...

    As for the colors and design, I agree that many of them are ugly. However, according to your own statements that doesn't matter one bit as long as it functions well. So find one you like, use it, and quit worrying if my model is pink and fallic-shaped. :)

    No, fellow goat you're missing the point. No geek wants to see his new toy hanging off the belts of the likes of Paris Hilton and Bono. Thats why I personally hate all things Apple. Technology should not be cutting edge and also fashionable. I pine for the days of laptops that look and feel like cinder blocks evacuated by albino elephants. We as geeks have had to endure childhoods of bullying and female rejection, the one high point is that we've always had the coolest toys, now people like Apple want to come along and make it all cute and accessible. Blasphemy I say.

    Now excuse me while load *.OGG files onto my Rio Karma via SHH from a remote SAMBA server...

    I agree. I hate SPAM as much as the next guy but it makes me nervous when non-violent, especially computer related crimes, start having hefty sentences. A good deal of the outcome of trial has to do with previous cases.

    If a prosecutor in the future can link Joe Spammer and Tom Bittorent user somehow and Joe spammer got 9 years, what do you think Tom's chances are?

    Anyone in the music industry who hasn't figured out that out by now either never will or is living in a state of denial.

    Thats the RIAA. They remind me of all the stories I've heard about Japanese soldiers entreched in the South Pacific fighting to the last man, months after the surrender. Its pretty much a waiting game now, their time is done. Its just too bad that the most benign sites are the one getting burnt while the flagrant abusers are untouchable.

    Noble on paper, but thats not really how things are done. I grew up in a country where about 30% of the households had a landlline phone up until about 1998 (which is when I left)I went back in 2002 and about 80% of the had atleast one cellphone and even less people had landlines.

    It isn't always neccessary to follow the line of advancement that others did.

    Incidently the reason I know that is because there's only one telecom company in the whole country. I could make a killing if I had a couple million to invest in cellsites...

    But isn't that was Tansformers was about anyway? No matter how much I tell people energon cubes was metaphor for the 80's inner city crack epidemic no ones listens. Maybe Micheal Bay will get it right.

    I can't wait for the gratuitous scenes of Bubblebee chasing down Starscream with his hood flying open to show seductive glimpes of his chrome engine block, then Spike has to tackle him to save him from an oncoming freight train, or Megatron transforming in slow motion while random things unexplicably explode around him to blast Falco (two days before his retirement) in the chest.Or when Bumbblebee and Spike switch identities to protect the human Hooker. Russel Crowe can play Optimus Prime, and Angelina Jolie can be the love interest.

    BubbleBee: I'm Spike. No cup holder, no back seat. Just a shiny gold dick with two chairs in it.

    As humans have a habit of touching things they are curious about with their fingers sharks satisfy it by biting.

    The one I've always heard is that if you get attacked by a Great White its probably because they've mistaken you for a Seal. Sharks supposedly don't like the tatste of human much, and don't actually eat the parts they've bitten off.Though that doesn't make you any less dismembered.

    That might be apocryphal though, so don't quote me.

    I actually thought the same thing too, but how. Can't blow the dust off, that' would be like sandblasting the suit. You can't wash it off, then instead of a floating dust problem you've got a bouncing mud problem. Some kind of human safe Sonicator could be ivented I suppose.
