  1. Expensive IDE??? on Agenda's Linux Based Handheld · · Score: 1

Well, firt you have to get to know something before you can coment on it. People at Palm made gcc SDK available, so only thing you need is a text editor (and gcc :). I haven't done much developing (just a few no use applications) But i can say developing is not hard if you know C.

Don't we have this already? Sure, it's no standard, but now kde2 started offering real theming support and joined gnome (gtk+ and enlightenment/sawfish themes). File managment is the only thing not so customizable (any volunteers?). Maybe you taught of something even more plugin based like choosing between gtk and qt in your application, but that is just few thousand lines of code away. Only thing we need is bit more standard and unity in X environment.
Oh, yeah, there is Objectdesktop for Micro$~1 Wintendo that can do theming (for resonable prise, of course :)

  6. What about Loki on Corel releases Photo-Paint for Linux for Free · · Score: 1

Well, loki is seeling it's products, and not cheap, too (espoecially because i found no linux game warez sites, not that i would use anything illegal :). But they are contributing to linux comunity (firs of all they are bringing us games, than there is 'Setup'). I am ready to buy their games simply because of that (i'm just waiting for some money to drop to my pocke :)
I would go out and by $50 Internet Explorer for linux if M$ would also port DirectX to linux (no, i wouldn't use IE, since i used netscape under wintendo, too). Simply to show them that their investion is rewarded. (i'll pretend i do not hate them :)
    just my 50^(-1) bucks :)

As a matter of fact, I really do not like playing games - no, i'm not some freak, it's simply that when I start it's really hard to control, and i spend hours doing nothing, when instead i could have done some coding (experimenting :) which would be the same fun, and would probably result in a greater joy on the end.
Of course, sometimes I'm just not in the mood for doing anything, and that's when the games jump in.
