Maybe he should switch to a Linux distribution with a good package manager that checks the hash of the file after download. Oh yeah, and he's never heard of DePaul, the largest Catholic University in America. Don't trust those christians!!!!
get the belkin battery pack. it'll make your ipod bigger, but you'll get a lot of play time with it. there's another one on the market that uses a custom laptop battery as an addon, too. but that's even less like you want. personally i HATE changing batteries, it's a huge cash sink and also it's even more bad for the environment
Hate to break it to you, but my normal gentoo install (not even ~x86 bleeding edge) is more up-to-date than my ubuntu one is. I like both, but Ubuntu is not as up to date as you would be had to believe
Hate to break it to you, but America is still catching up to Europe when it comes to being spied upon regularily. Just because one can travel freely among European countries doesn't mean you aren't being tracked coming in and out as a non-member. Not to mention the omnipresent video security and tapping abilities of Europe. Just because the US went from pretty much nothing to something doesn't mean the europeans have anything to goad over us.
Having used VNC for years and Remote Desktop for some, I have to say NX is definitely the future. As for VNC clients, if you have to go with one, get TightVNC.
There's no technical advantage one way or the other. sometimes kde has nicer configuration of advanced options like samba, and gnome 2.8 has hal and dbus integration. HAL and DBUS combined with gnome-volume-manager is the number one reason to use gnome instead of all the super/submount kludges. However, if you are used to NOT using X, you might as well just go with fluxbox (or other lightweight solution), which is what i use on my laptop combined with/usr/libexec/gnome-settings-daemon to make firefox look decent.
Yeah, I saw the movie at a small art house having heard from a friend that it was a weird movie and then I enjoyed it. So therefore I'm obviously a whore of popular culture, thanks for bringing that to light!
i take it back, i was wrong. phonegaim is something else. Knowing that Lindows is a big supporter of gaim, i wouldn't be surprised if at some point it gets hooked back in
Phonegaim is just http://gaim-vv.sourceforge.net/ packaged nicely. And yeah, they've been saying for a long time now that they'll merge it back in when it gets stable.
i
Use yellow pages categories, like Auto Parts
Worked great for me.
yeah, and and go to the library instead of searching for something on google! Not like I'd want to look up anything quickly while at my computer.
Worked great for me!
hate to break it to you, but microsoft makes more money from VPC and all their mac software than running on a "windows" (you actually should say "x86" platform, so they really do have the impetus to improve VPC
But a version 1 implies no more bugs, wil there be no bugs in GAIM??
yes, there will NEVER be any bugs in GAIM, EVER!! Even when Yahoo purposely breaks their protocol again, the super hyper gaim fairies will magically fix connectivity for you. We are blessed!
if you're using gentoo then just search the forums for an ebuild. As for RPM's, fedora has 'em.
right now, and later. It all depends on what type of distro you're running.
please please have someone make apple lossless work on linux so we could have streaming to it using dvd jon's little app
The american way is RFID and XML, none of this barcode and DNA stuff. I guess they haven't been following the latest trends
a hybrid creature that's part human, part animal. oh my god, they've cloned my relatives
maybe i'm just not getting it, but could you briefly explain how you're get positive pressure inside the case?

It's actually a halflife2 mod where bill gates (you) shatters the zombies' skulls by claiming windows media is an open standard compared to aac
it's actually the whole point, the centrifugal force of the device keeps the ladder taught which lets you climb things up it

yeah it would have been. sata support is much better in this release

sex in space is where it's at. I'm almost not even kidding. It's out of the control of any state, and who wouldn't want to have sex in space?
yeah, but you could immediately stream that DVD. Just try THAT with a hotpocket!

you obviously don't realize how cult clerks really was when it was released. Only after it's original run did most people see it

yeah maybe a dumb terminal would suffice, but how would the clerk play doom3 while ignoring the customers?! It'd be unfair
