It's the perfect storm and a golden opportunity for N. Korea to take. They won't have such an opportunity again. I firmly believe they will strike and strike hard. Even if it's suicide for them, it will be an "honorable death" in their eyes. That regime will never fold on its own. And positive reform looks very unlikely.

The only problem I have with marijuana is with regards to driver and work safety. It has an adverse effect on reaction time. Agencies such as NHTSA and OSHA would agree I'm sure.

On the whole, marijuana's impact on the body is far less damaging (if at all) compared to alcohol. However, THC (active substance in marijuana) takes longer to metabolize than alcohol does. If you smoke habitually, it starts to effect serotonin levels until the user stops. It's now even more serious with newer breeds of plants. THC level increases between 15% and 25% are not uncommon. Once it become industrialized with genetic engineering, I can only imagine how much more potent they can get. While federal regulation can play a major role here, metabolization within a 12 to 24 hour period would be a major issue with regards to cognitive impairment.

    1. They're afraid to vote. This is usually a problem in 3rd world countries.

    2. They're happy with their lives and too self absorbed to care about anything else.

The second reasons is spot on for the US. The only reason people care about voting now is because the nation is and our politicians are way out of control. Also, we have a high unemployment rate. This November, I expect a huge HUGE turnout. People are pissed, and they will want their voice to be heard!

The sad cold reality is that this breakup and accumulation of human power/control is cyclical in much like the wax and wane of caribou. It can never be stopped. If there was ever a need to spend stimulus money on a project, it would be our nations infrastructure. Both at the state and federal level. But our politicians decided to fritter away funding in useless "make work" projects that doesn't provide a damn bit of investment.

Too late now to ask for another stimulus. Our nation shot that wad one too many times. Now, we really are stuck using oil for a very long time. At least, until our trillions of debt can get reduced. Fat chance, but I digress.
