There's a clear distinction when doing business in China (or any foreign country for that matter). There is no problem selling goods and services around the world. Those that partake in capitalism end up with a better quality of life. No doubt about that.
It does however become a problem when you work directly with its government to actively oppress the very people you claim to be doing business with. Talk about a nice slap in the face.
Most parents (if not all) should have no problem feeding their own children. Those that can't will need special help. But...for those that can, your still paying for un-needed support with YOUR tax dollars.
Imagine for a moment. You work minimum wage and your tax dollars are feeding the children whose parents are millionaires.
The door swings both ways. Just thought you'd like to know that.
Ok, I'm guilty. No doubt I would be looking for Ferrari templates for my own driving pleasure. But, god forbid some wackjob starts looking for "80_megaton_h-bomb.torrent"
I second Graigslist! Fuck e-bay and paypal. With all of their fees combined, it strips away too much of my potential profit to make it worth while. In fact, E-bay only good recycling if you must get rid of something.
With Graigslist, there are no fees. I meet people (and freaks), and it's cash up front baby!!!
Only complaints I have is the webpage. It's poorly designed and need a major overhaul.
As an employee of Time Warner Cable (supporting RoadRunner customers), I ***HATE*** Symantec Personal Firewall with the glowing white-hot passion of a thousand suns.
A firewall should provide passive protection like the one included with XP SP2 (damn good firewall for being software based). But other software based firewalls end up getting gummed up with corruption in that they totally shut down the users connectivity to the internet.
"In employment, affirmative action may also be known as employment equity or preferential hiring. In this context affirmative action requires that institutions increase hiring and promotion of candidates of mandated groups."
I agree. It's a good thing we still have the 2nd amendment (or what's left of it anyways).
Screw the government. Just let the civilians take care of the problem. The first would-be terrorist to cause a problem, everyone around would pull a gun on his ass.
1. Let the government do it's job to stifle terrorist activities (we have yet to have car bombings in this country)
2. Say "fuck-it" and let dirty-bombs and kamikaze whackos ram 777s into buildings. I mean, it's an "acceptable" act of nature. You know the price of being part of western civilization.
You cannot have it both ways.
Personally, I would rather have a legal terrorist-license-to-kill. I'll just pack my gun and slug the first rag-head that wishes to cause trouble. Problem solved.
See, that's where you went wrong. You need to learn to bullshit better.
Ahem....for example.
"Hello BoC rep? Yes, I have a question regarding our currency. You see, I was working on a hydraulic press in the factory. While I was working on making some adjustments, a few pennies fell out of my shirt pocket. One of them happened to get cut in half from the piston. Upon inspection, I noticed the penny has some other form of metal inside! Can you please tell me what this metal is?"
Better yet, why don't stores adjust their prices to the nearest nickel AFTER adjusted for the tax increase? This way, no matter how many items you purchase, you will not end up with denominations in pennies for change.
Every year, I used to get colds and other illnesses at least 3 times a year. After I started working in a call center where I had to share PCs with other co-workers on a daily bases, I ended up getting very sick at least 12 known times. I mean, I was sick as hell and always drugging myself to mask the symptoms.
The second year of my employment...I didn't get sick ONCE!
If you can build up immunity to a call center environment, than the outside world is nothing to you.
Gaming is not just a way of life. It's a 24/7 JOB. They make money selling items on e-bay and the like. The players are nothing more than the gamers version of a day/stock trader. In fact, they prolly don't even like the game. It's just another source of real-world income.
I wrote on Slashdot about an idea of mine. I called it Proportional Displacement. Basically, the idea was that gravity is not a pull, but rather a push. Instead of matter warping space/time, it's actually trying to displace it and the space/time is actually trying to rush in a fill its own vacuum that matter is creating.
The current theory states gravity is like bowling ball on a sheet of rubber in that matter warps it. My idea is that the bowling ball is half-way exposed in this sheet of rubber along the equator and is trying displacing that bowling ball. But, it's not going anywhere. So, it's stretched around it PUSH the very matter that makes up the ball together.
I know it sounds wacky. But maybe with enough space between matter, it will start to push it all apart. If the matter is close enough, the space around the objects will be displaced toward each other. Think of it like a bell curve. Maybe...that's why galaxies can form, and yet they themselves are being pushed away form each other omni-directionally.
Look, you can say what you want on Slashdot. Bash Bush for all I care, but stop the FUD about theft of the election. Seriously, STOP IT! The fact is, the people voted for him...twice. It's not a theory, it's a FACT!
"The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers"
This quote applies to liberals. The more out of power they become, the more wacky and condescending they are. As such, the very FUD you spread (along with the rest of the kook base the defines the democractic party today) will only harm your cause to win the hearts and minds of the American public even more.
In fact, I think he's THE most corrupt President in US history, I still think he actually lost the election to John Kerry (see my blog for reasons, and do some Googling on DieBold), I firmly believe 9-11 was planned (Operation Northwoods) by the US government, and I think overall, at his current pace, he will be a miserable failure and quite possibly drag America down with him. However, if I'm wrong about his failure, and he (or his puppet masters) manage to orchestrate all of this and make it work out so that America has bought another 100 or 200 years in the Sun, I will gladly sing his praises. I couldn't give a shit less what it takes, if we can run the World for another couple of centuries, I'd gladly see 10 more Septemeber 11s and another 20 Iraqi Wars (and no, these aren't hollow words, I joined the Air Force knowing full well what I was getting into and that it was a possibillity I might be in that body count from Afganistan, Iraq, or anywhere else we may go in the future). A small price to pay for continued American prosperity in my opinion
And you know what the really sad part is? It's that you will get modded up because they actually believe in this bullshit of yours just because they hate bush.
Yes, I know all about "peak oil". My father is a petrochemical engineer currently involved with a company in the pursuit of coal gasification projects. I would tell you more, but let's just say it *might* identify who I am to the public. As for the peak oil issue, yes it's very real...
That said, I don't by this Iraq/oil conspiracy theory. While it does sound compelling, there simply isn't any evidence for it being the primary goal. Beside, Iraqi oil production DROPPED after the invasion. One would think our government would make getting production back online the top priority, but obviously it hasn't. I don't claim to have the absolute answers, but I will say with honestly that I'm not getting the rub that this was all about oil. If you think otherwise, so be it...
I DO believe that the invasion of Iraq was to establish and ally in the war against radical Islam. The idea (in theory) is to help pave a path for the people to set-forth democracy. I'm not sure if it will last or prosper, but the Iraqi voter turnout makes me think it was a glowing success. Point being, you can't fight ideas with weapons forever. The US government knows this. As such, we are trying to fight their perverted theocratic ideology with the promise of equality and prosperity that democracy imbues.

So that explains all the back-door fundings from the MPAA and RIAA to our government officials.
And I was the only that though current media SUCKED!
Technically, you are correct. When you hear the term "low level format", what really happens is you're performing a "mid level format".
Example:
Low-level format = write zeros across all platters.
Mid-level format = write zeros across all platters except for the servo data tracks.
High-level format = setting up logical parameters for a file system.
What's to stop someone from attaching retro-rockets to an asteroid, turn it around, and aim it a country you need to "do away with".
If anyone questions it, you just shrug it off as an act of nature.
Of course, such planning would have to be done years in advance so as to not raise suspicions on who launched the attack.
FYI: I am an evil genius.

Terrorism is Islamic extremism.
I totally agree. When I first read about this on Drudgereport.com, I about choked up!!!
Google has just commited major crimes against humanity, and as such I vow to never use them again. No, I'm serious!
Google, could have decided to pull support all togeather. They didn't. They got greedy at the expense of 1.3 billion.
Last time I tried putting a cat in a bag, I ended up getting my face clawed.
I'm trying make this into an analogy. I can't. But cats and bags just dredges up bad memories.
Carry on.
Items? ITEMS?!
Ok, I'm guilty. No doubt I would be looking for Ferrari templates for my own driving pleasure. But, god forbid some wackjob starts looking for "80_megaton_h-bomb.torrent"
The future will be interesting indeed.

You never heard of Affirmative Action.

Self governance! I LIKE it!

How about a bitch-slapping robot that follows the parrent where ever they're at.
PARENT:"It's OK Tommy, I trust you with the Internet. I know you will not look for porn"
ROBOT: Illigal opperation!! *SMACK*!
PARENT:Uhh Tommy, I will be right there. There is something you and I should discuss about what is appropriate.
See, that's where you went wrong. You need to learn to bullshit better.

Remember: if you lick somebody else's keyboard, you're also licking all the other keyboards they've typed on.
The same keyboards they typed on may have also been licked by other people too. This compounds the issue even more.
Hey, do sharks shit in the ocean?

The world has always BEEN there. From Ape to Man, nothing really hasn't changed all that much in social dynamics in the course of evolution.
