You seem to be discounting problems just because they haven't been talked about much. Foam coming off of the tank is hardly the only thing to worry about. Planning without taking the probability of failure into account is simply planning on failure.
If the launch has to be cancelled Sunday because of weather, it will be pushed to Tuesday. This seems like a spectacularly bad idea. It would be a while before any forgot the billion dollar firework on independence day.
System Shock 2, a true classic, was extremely scary. The player finds himself (or herself, but let's not kid ourselves) on a derelict spacecraft on which something has gone terribly wrong. The game is not to be missed.
Why we need something like this? Does the money need to be spent on R&D to fix a problem that isn't a problem? Since when has this new ability been neccesary?
I hope Ballmer doesn't see the article, i'm sure he was mad enough about the spyware, with such much publicity on it he's liable to fucking kill someone.
During the 1970's in New York City, Heroin use was a big problem. Because of this the legislature decided to pass a bill to raise the penalty for possesion of (over a certain amount of) the drug to life in prison. New York doesn't, and didn't, have the death penalty, so the maximum sentence for murdering a police officer was also life in prison. So many officers were killed that the police force ended up being the major party in opposition of the bill. The officers didn't want to even try to enforce the policy, for fear of death. It was eventually repealed.
Are there not wheelchairs with treads that are capable of climing stairs? As I understand it, they are usable by those with neck/head injuries, and that lack most motor functions.
It takes two joysticks to control... how much of an improvement is this over wheelcheers? What of those with limited or no use of their hands. While the legs seem cool, are they really practical?
Make Your Point, a political internet radio show, had a show about this kind of thing a couple of weeks ago. You can find it here, the show was on 4-13. Interviewed was the head of the Video Game Voters Network, parodied on penny arcade here.
To this day I have yet to meet a WoW player with enough bird-brains to successfully 'go in, strike, pull and see what to do next'. Maybe there was no meteor, they just pulled too much aggro.
Why do airports need shielding from lasers?
It doesn't take an Einstein to... aww crap.
...they weren't the droids I was looking for.
That's just a down-right decent thing to do for those of us that enjoy some of the older games.
Who would want to pay more for crappy power?
...for the rest of us concerning our modified 767s. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Seems a bit unfair.
If he faked his death, what kind of new charges would he be looking at? Fraud and conspiracy? Already pretty full on those...

When will our legislature take a stand against these domestic book-huggers?
Not so much a horde as a collective. No arguement here on the hot part.
...am for guidelines to govern the actions of our new robot overlords.
They'll still track in dirt full of allergins.

Legislation is futile.
A 'dummy' proccessor. Spyware and viruses will take all of the cycles of one, and the user won't notice.
