  1. Think human nature. on Spam Rapidly Increasing In Weblog Comments · · Score: 0

People want a reply. That's why (most of us) don't talk to brick walls. That's why you probably loaded your comment page first thing on slashdot to see this reply.

  2. Now spam that! on Spam Rapidly Increasing In Weblog Comments · · Score: 0

    It's right on.

  3. Wikis too? on Spam Rapidly Increasing In Weblog Comments · · Score: 4, Insightful

They would seem vulnerable to spamming. I was on a lojban wiki for awhile which was under the radar enough to avoid it, but don't know about now.

  4. Hexadecimal translation. on NSA Turns To Commercial Software For Encryption · · Score: 0

That's 3C00h, for the RSA equivalent. It would be much more elegant to list numbers that are binary aligned in hexadecimal--decimal is ugly in these cases.

  5. Are there "0x"'s in the source? on Linux 2.6.0-test9 Released · · Score: -1, Offtopic

I don't want any decimal. Decimal is ugly. Hexadecimal is beautiful.

  6. Mod down all you want. on Judge Examines Microsoft Settlement Progress · · Score: 0

It won't make you original as most posts calling for abolishment of IP get modded down. To me, copyright is as unnatural as 1+2=4. Since I see very few with the same opinion, I regard my views as underrated. If I'm a common troll, then do direct me to all the others calling for the abolishment of copyright and patent.

  7. Abolish copyright, and this isn't problem. on Judge Examines Microsoft Settlement Progress · · Score: 0, Troll

Without copyright, Microsoft would not be the monopoly that it is. They depend on copyright for nearly everything they do.

  8. One word. on Phantom Game Console Presentation · · Score: 0

    Dubya.

  9. So you're anti-IP? on Copyright Extension In Australia · · Score: 0

Proclaim it. Whenever I do I get sent down to bad karma.

  10. DMCA techniques? on Phantom Game Console Presentation · · Score: 0

We don't need sensationalism to know that copyrights and patents are unnatural and soon to be abolished.

  11. Think of rampant inefficiencies. on Take Back Your Time! · · Score: 2, Interesting

At this point we have the technology and know-how to reduce work to a quarter or less, with likely more production. Some serious social change is needed to make this happen--but it will.

  12. Simpler solution. on Copyright Extension In Australia · · Score: 0

Abolish all copyrights. That's much simpler, and the right thing to do.

  13. How about shortening to zero years? on Copyright Extension In Australia · · Score: 0

Copyright is unnatural even for a second. Abolish copyright now.

  14. Now cancel all patents. on Slashback: Diebold, Peroxide, Comdex · · Score: -1, Troll

Locking down information is unnatural. All patents are silly, because of the nature of patents.

  15. Not with a copyright notice. on Comparing Online Music Offerings · · Score: 0

I'm not giving anything to anyone who doesn't allow duplication for any reason.

  16. Tipware? on Comparing Online Music Offerings · · Score: 0

What about donating for music like magnatune?

  17. Copyright will be abolished, then... on Comparing Online Music Offerings · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Copyright is unnatural and will be abolished. Then you still might have central servers, but they would operate on tips, and would share with the artists. It would be more like magnatune.

  18. Sigh, decimal infection. on HP Launches New Calculators · · Score: 0

Hexadecial is so much more beautiful.

  19. You're paying for a service. on Home Stereo Equipment With Online Music Purchasing · · Score: 0

Just as you say, the information is in the book, the service is with the professors. Books are expensive, but the tuition is still more. If the books (information) were free, the professors would still have the same job.

  20. Abolish copyright, and no problem. on SCO Selective About Linux Licensees · · Score: -1, Troll

Nobody signed a contract here, so the only problem is copyright law, which is protecting code that may be there. Copyright is unnatural and thus should be abolished. One effect would be that businesses would not have to spend money on Linux licenses and could be hiring more people.

  21. Central server with tips? on Home Stereo Equipment With Online Music Purchasing · · Score: 0

You play it, really like it, and give some to the artist which is split with the server operators. Like magnatune.com for instance.

  22. It's the word "utopia" on Home Stereo Equipment With Online Music Purchasing · · Score: 0

If you throw a loaded word like "utopia" around, I won't bother debating. Same thing with something like "politically correct". I didn't mean you support slavery, I meant you had the mentality that change for the better is impractical (which is implied by the word).

  23. Content versus keys. on Home Stereo Equipment With Online Music Purchasing · · Score: 0

A social security or credit card number is not content--it is a key.

  24. "Utopia" and slavery. on Home Stereo Equipment With Online Music Purchasing · · Score: 0

I supposed way back when you'd figure a society without slaves to be a "utopia" and thus impractical. Same mentality. "Utopia" is a loaded word.

  25. Technology...wisdom. on Toshiba Pushes Safe, Small Nuclear Reactor Design · · Score: 0

And those who don't waste their time debating the wisdom of technology use it to kill those who do. Now that's wisdom.
