As far as the charges against scientology, scientology does use sleazy methods to extract methods from the followers of this cult. However, these persons handed over this money willingly, in cases this is not illegal as long as Scientology did not attempt to coerce them or prohibit them from leaving.

What's the point of claiming you won't raise taxes when you spike them up high on commodities that large swaths of the population uses?
If you don't get what I am saying then by all means, let them add a 150% tax on "violent" video games. Heck, it's only a sin tax on products that not everyone uses.

So add advertisements to the bittorrent & let the BBC earn advertising income from the shows. People are lazy. If the BBC were to provide high quality, DRM free shows via a low cost bittorrent distribution method people would use it. So long as the advertisements are kept to a modest quantity & duration most people would be lazy enough to not bother removing them or skipping past them.
This isn't an issue of preventing "the best & brightest" from immigrating to the US. These are stock jobs "sales, lending, and bank administration".
For each one of those positions, there is surely a US employee who has been busting his or her rear end to be given a chance to work in that position. Not to mention, many of those position mentioned are currently desperately seeking work. Our economy is crashing due to people out of work, receiving little or now pay raises, or in secure about their future income.
Since this was a mirrored server that does not log IP addresses, is there any way we can think of that the police could use information stored on the server to identify the individual poster?

Non-copyright owners are issuing take down requests of critical information & commentary. It is being used to obtain the name & address of people who post critical information. And it is being used to removed content of unattended accounts or to harass posters of critical content until they stop responding to DMCA requests.
Make it mandatory that students back up their homework on a thumb drive.
No excuses for missing assignments & you can reimage a computer at a drop of the hat.

If you may have used that password on other websites, now is a good time to change them.
