I know this sounds lame but, buy a G5. If you're actually going to use Photoshop and Quark for 3) Profit! then you should make it back in the first few jobs.
Beside if you've actually go legal copies of photoshop and quark that's about a $2499 software investment. You'd at least want some decent hardware.
Ok now be honest, you're just a warez kid with an old G3 and some dream to make it comparable to a new computer without investing anything. No offense but you need a new computer.
The problems previously described on this page are still potential issues for other possible licenses, but they do not apply to version 2.0 of the APSL.
And I think in all fairness this warrants an update on the main page because that title is extremely deceptive.
Does this mean we're looking forward to a new brand of "Dried Apple" computers!?!!? > ...ok that was a really really bad joke, fortunatly this is slashdot so it's sure to get modded up. PS Can you find the misspelling?
One group consisted of 60 users aged 25 to 55 with computer skills but no prior experience with Linux or Windows XP
That either means they did the tests with a bunch of Mac Users or Windows 98 users. I wonder what exactly "computer experience" is defined as in this study.
The other group consisted of 20 users with the same qualifications who performed the exact same tasks on Windows XP.
Why use only 20 people with XP? I think that would hike the %error way up. Oh well.
I had a used Pismo with no Applecare and after about a week I busted one of the arrow keys. I had the little bit of aluminum that busted off so I called and they said it was out of warranty but send it in anyway. So I did and four days later a package arrived from a local apple shop. It was a new keyboard.
So that may not answer your question but I've had good luck with Apple.
Whoops. I meant Panther. I guarantee that Panther will run like shit on G3 machines. Jaguar does run fine on my iBook.
I hate to bite twice but Panther is actually a bit snappier than Jaguar. Anything that supports Quartz Extreme (ie iBook with 16MB Graphic Card) runs absolutely wonderful.
....F9... F9.... F10....F10...... F11....F11 So much fun!!
Sorry this is offtopic but I just have to answer this troll...
...Jaguar, which only reasonably runs on a G4...
I run Jaguar on my B&W G3 (a petite 400Mhz) and it runs great! It's particularly fast with Mail, Safari, iTunes and iTMS. The only thing I've upgraded is graphics card and only to a cheap Radeon 7500. Word on the street is that Panther is even quicker.
Memory effects showed up after a few hundred cycles.
I also don't know why they didn't say anything about the credibility of the "test programs." Not where they were done or under whose scrutiny. Don't get me wrong NiCad is great for high current applications, but I think there's something to be said for the little oxygen bubbles.
Not really- With todays advanced micro electronics it's possible to create a matrix of keys each one programmed to output the morse equivalent of an alpha-numeric character. This way the sender only has to press one key one time to send a character... In fact the system could be set up so that the receiving computer automatically decodes the morse and displays it on the screen as plain text.
...we hear a lot of people chanting "iTunes, Mix, Rip Burn" in the background, so maybe that's not true.
That's because iTunes actually lets you Burn your music. Can the same be said for WMA based services? Maybe sometimes, depending on the phase of the moon and the position of the stars.
Just whatever you do- don't forget to save! you never know when your typewriter with crash.
Save Save Save!

This one is way more advanced. Just be careful where you point it.
I always do...but then I get modded offtopic.
ARRRRrr
I think your .sig answers your own question!
Peace out.
Ironic is aready an adjective: there is no need to add -al to it.
Or maybe he wanted to see all the irony in list format.
How are we to start a proper flame war without knowing which distro this guy uses?
Do you mean selling as in beer?
Tastes like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Sorry I actually admire your comments I see the name Tumbleweed a lot. You're kind of like a role model.
Then again, in all fairness I beat the next Sun-Apple joke by more than 3 hours. But hey what can ya do.
P.S. I like your site.

See, morse is for Everybody!
PS I wouldn't bother patenting that though.
Of course if he can't read the it's definitely Apple's fault.

MSN? Oh look the only non Apple-Computer link in the top 10 is a MSN site. Surprising that even their competitors rank above the fruit.
