I massively support the DS, and can't wait to see the new kinds of gameplay that emerge. However, I can see one issues: processing power. Several of the really cool ideas I've had would just require more than the little DS could handle.

There seems to be an air of triumph among the PC gamers here that the xBox version is unpatchable. However, if Eidos have to re-call xBox thief 3 it could be disasterous for them and Ion Storm.
Should we really be happy that an absolutely brilliant game could lose people jobs because of one bug?
I am so excited about the DS it's not true. I just *cannot wait*. I don't care if it fails like the Virtual Boy or whatever, I'm going to own one on day of release then buy a dev kit on ebay three years later and make my own damn games. The DS is so so so damn cool.
First, I'm going to do a village-themed remake of How To Be a Complete Bastard.

Don't get me wrong, Enter The Matrix was crap, but it wasn't cashing in on the franchaise: they spent one hell of a lot of money on it and put one hell of a lot of effrt into it too, they just didn't have enough time/sense to get it right.
