Those weren't ads, merely a browser plugin bug. icculus is responsible for Mac and Linux releases. He's usually lagging behind about a month, but he makes good ports.
The ISP is the one who actually owns the domain is what it sounds like. Since you're just renting it from them it looks like you can't get it from someone else for now. However, perhaps a solution to this is going ahead and getting a new domain and making the old one link to the new one for a month or two, then switch.
Is it possible to overclock a processor until it actually cooks and potentially bursts into flames? I've heard of a case where a guy's RAM was fused together, but never saw any proof. Any thoughts?
They signed into it, so why shouldn't they be expecting lawsuits? It's their own fault for signing what they should have read. Don't sign what you don't agree with.
Fallout? You forget Fallout 2, sequel to the best RPG ever. It was just as good, with even more stuff and bigger cities, although some of the side quests left off without finishing and some of the completed side quests weren't as satisfying. And when you mention Deus Ex, never, EVER forget to mention System Shock and System Shock 2 as well, since they're almost the same concept as Deus Ex and are loads of scare-the-shit-out-of-you fun.
How about Doom 2? That game was just more Doom. Yeah, Doom was great in its day, and so was the sequel. Come on though, do you really need to go out and buy more levels of that instead of just getting a bunch of fan-made levels?
This sure ain't the beta...I put in my CD key from this shit Blue-Shift I have and it tells me I'm entitled to a 1 month subscription...to a game I PAID FOR (Opposing Force comes with BS) just to use their meta-server! I doubt anybody will pay to play a 5 year old game online...at least, I hope not.
Actually, it says the new version will let you use skins. It also says something about a conversion wizard about using existing content, but I don't know what that means.
Yes...I understand you much more now. Even so, you still gotta know alot about computers in order to even know what a whois database is; as for me, I'm the only one I know personally that knows what one is! I figure that if you know what a whois is, you probably know (or have potential to learn) many other, more effective data mining methods or hacking techniques to either harm your target or find out more about him.
What's the difference between SIP and XMPP?
...that Star Ocean game they were developing for the GBA? I know I loved the PS game and that it has quite a cult. Why is news so slow?
Try Mandrake. Pop in the CD and everything *just works*, no common sense required.
TimeSplitters 2 is now on the bargain pile and is an assload of fun for my Gamecube. Too bad is doesn't have online play for the cube, though.

and Perfect Dark, Turok 3, Turok Rage Wars, Rogue Squadron, not Ocarina of Time, however. I'm sure there's more that it works with...

Perhaps the response system should have an input for clap or no clap, and how many. Maybe even an input for hollering and if so, how many decibels.
So...did you sign up for it? :-)
No trolling intended.
...starbases!

Think of the uses in the porn industry... :-)
Add to /etc/hosts.deny 64.94.110.11
Problem solved.
...VB only works on Windows.
There's a D? What's next? Eb? Technology is moving at an incredible rate, indeed!

I downloaded Steam by itself about a month ago without having HL before. I got HL, CS, OP4 and the like for free. Is it any different now?

Internet surfing really isn't very anonymous or secure, and I don't think the internet itself was ever meant to be. Maybe you should try Freenet.
Actually, Steam and all the games on it (right now) are free. I got CS, HL, and OP4 all for free with a reasonably fast downoad. Mods work on it, too.
On a similar note, I haven't bought any music for myself recorded after 1987 or so (not counting remastered recordings), for the same reasons.
