How about buying CD's from bands that aren't from the RIAA? I like punk rock, and most of the good honest punk rock bands aren't on the RIAA. If you're not sure who is (it can be hard to tell) try here and it'll tell you if they're part of the cartel. Good Stuff.

This problem is compounded by the mass media:

On election day (the big one), you'll see in the key red for Republicans, blue for Dems, and green for Greens. What you never hear from the main media outlets on TV is that Libertarians typically get twice the popular vote of the Greens with less than half the air time! Proposterous!

Yeah...I guess it will be really good though if they can challenge ATI and NVidia by writing drivers that don't cheat. It'll be good if they write good Linux and *BSD drivers like NVidia does and not leaving people high and DRI.

You can't start off as a purist. If not for Mandrake and the confidence its foolproof GUI tools gave me, I never would've tried Linux. I can't just go out and break my computer; I need my computer. The reason to install a new OS is to make the machine do more, not stop working altogether. Mandrake lets you start using Linux and get comfortable before moving up in the world.

It's a bunch of opinions arranged in such a way as to give diversity for different players and their tastes. They want the largest reader base possible, so they'll try to appeal to the most number of people.

  21. Playstation Sales on Game Consoles, Software Have Happy Thanksgiving · · Score: 2, Interesting

Why do PS2's still sell so big? I just don't get it. Both X-Box and Gamecube boast more powerful hardware than the PS2. The Gamecube costs less, has 4 control ports, and gets lots of good exclusive games from Nintendo. The X-Box has those controller ports, a hard drive, Halo, and just about every PS2 game has an X-Box version. There's just no reason to the madness!
