My cheap InFocus projector rates at 1700 lumens, and it needs to be pretty dark for the picture quality to be nice.
Of course, throwing a decent screen in instead of projecting onto an off-white wall helped a ton too. 10 lumens is going to be nearly useless.
Ogre3D is a very nice LGPL 3D Graphics library. It does have precompiled libraries for Windows available for download, but compiling from SVN is a snap as well. While it doesn't have the other parts of a game engine (sound, networking, physics, etc), there's always other libraries that work well with it, such as: The Open Dynamics Engine for physics, OpenAL for sound and SDL for crossplatform network and input.
Ogre's visual quality can easily compete with a lot of top game engines today, as well.
people seem to fail to realize this is not testing latency. It plays a series of "sweeping" sounds that go from low pitch to high or vice versa, and different speeds. It tests whether your brain is fast enough to recognize which direction the sound is sweeping (up or down), not how fast you can click a button.
SO, it matters not how fast you can click, as long as you can hear, can recognize tones, and your OS is Win32.
IrfanView does all the scaling/red eye removal/etc you could ever want. It has no actual brush tools, but a lot of processing stuff. Plus, it loads extremely fast, reads and saves like 150 image formats (pulled out of my arse), and is an excellent replacement for Microsoft's crappy default image viewer.
However, in this case it is the Data portion that is auto-playing and not the music. When you pop in a CD with music, or pictures, WinXP will pop up a box asking what you would like to autorun your "Music" or "Picture" CDs with. Which can also be turned off.
That's nothing, I have used google's calculator to do tons of physics homework. It's great, too, cuz if you type the units in (coulumbs, farads, etc) into your equation, it'll help you double-check everything and should spit out the right type of unit. It's awesome.
It's true, though. I have Asperger's myself, and I find it extremely hard to relate to other people, even my wife at times. Not to mention extreme difficulty in handling any social situations with people I'm not good friends with..
yeah, but c'mon, they had five planets, some dedicated to food/etc.
Plus, their women were brainless (literally).. and they had three legs.. two mouths that they used as hands attached to their eye stalks.. bleh..
Worst alien race ever.
Caffeine seems to take a long time to "grip" me. I can drink a whole pot of coffee and won't feel the effects for a couple hours. Is that normal?:P
In other news, Orange Juice seems to work wonders for me.
Yes, I realize that my previous sentence is the worst grammar ever. Didn't get enough sleep. What I meant to say was, People have not had the ability to wipe each other out, en masse, for 45000 years.:P
Awesome.
HEY! I'm an ADD-addled freak and I can easily concentrate for almost 20 seconds. I resent your comment.

Memory Stick. All of my sony products are incompatible with everything else because they all use memory sticks :(
Yes, I realized that. But I still think of the little guy whenever I see/hear the name.

Ah, my karma sucks. Good post.
Yeah, the show is corny. It's meant to be that way. It's used to great effect as well, the cheesiness of it just makes it that much more fun.
not to mention they DID just make a movie...
Heck, D was useless too, most traps were safe to walk over. - I'm not a script, dammit!
The work print was floating Usenet _long_ before it hit BT. Not that I'd know. I saw it in the theater yesterday. Almost made up for the first two.

Yes, but people have not had the ability to wipe each other out en masse 45,500 years ago..
Cuz each ones is a different take on events that could end the world? And.. these final events are all fantasy. Thus.. Final Fantasy.. :) /fanboi
