And the Pirate Planet Episode written by Douglas Adams with Tom Baker as the Doctor was one of the best..Where K-9 met his match with the Robotic Parrot..
They were hesitant about publishing this because of the threat of making a Q-Bomb out of it, but they said that the Baryon's didn't last long enough to create a chain reaction. But I'm sure someone will figure out how to make them last longer also.
No! Automated mining on my machine is not what I want at all. So every work computer we have will be running mining software because they just visit web sites at lunch and then the rest of the time it will slow the machine down so that people complain their computers are not working.. No I would not want that.
The only way this would work is if people got extra dedicated hardware that was put in the machine, like a mining card.
And it's sole purpose was to run a little bit at some request, but then why stop at advertisers, why not let games use it to mine so they can make money, or other apps or even the government to reduce the debt?
How about letting our cars mine when we drive or all of our IoT devices?
I'm joking, I don't want things to take control of my devices for any reason.
Same here, same computer for 5 years, Just upgrade the Graphics card. The computer even crashed and I replaced the hard drive, but same computer. Same thing at work, No real need to upgrade. But it all comes and goes in cycles, just the cycles seem to be getting longer. There is no real new hardware that is forcing people to buy new machines. I think that people are building their own rigs for coin mining, but that is just a basic motherboard, memory, power and lots of graphics cards. Maybe when Neural Net chips will start to become more common place.
Yes the Internet grew up and we don't have all the old fun stuff. But we do, if you look for it. There is so much out there and so much good stuff, if you look for it. There is so much information and stuff to do, if you look for it.
When you stop looking for it and let others do it for you then you find what they want, not what you want.
I prefer this internet then the one I started with, way back when.
It wasn't the AR that people liked, as most said, people just turned it off. It was the location based part, where you can drive around or walk and keep finding Pokemon, and Poke Stops and Gyms. Its just kinda fun to pull it out and play anywhere you are. I'm sure there will be more coming soon, RPG like.
It seems to me that people are going to have to get trained to know what the warnings are and what to do with them. Maybe Tesla does this already? Maybe it will have to start becoming part of the Driving School tests.
You may hear the warnings, but that doesn't mean you know what to do. Bad interface and interaction designs do not help people understand to complexities of the information.
