    First of all I don't appreciate calling people idiots like this, I don't think this proves in any way that you are smarter...

    Also, if MPAA claims a circumvention of a protection measure what does have to do with people posting a number on any site they didn't circumvent anything and that number is not copyrighted (and probably can't be copyrighted) what do I infringe if I post the number here?

    If scads of people buy this and have nothing but grief, they'll tell everybody how much Linux sux and it'll affect future opportunities for some time to come.

    That's why I hope only people who know what to expect will buy Dell with Linux installed. As for me, I am just happy that I don't have to pay Microsoft tax if I decide to buy Dell and know that the hardware is compatible with Linux.

    That's silly, what can flop about it? If they don't sell what is the problem for Dell? It's not like they prepare the machine specially for Linux, it's not like they bake Dell machines with Ubuntu and if they don't sell they spoil.... they can only gain some additional clients, there's nothing to lose.

    Which Windows, XP? Wasn't Microsoft supposed to cease "manufacturing" XP by the end of this year? Even XP is a dog on 256MB or RAM I want to see how they will put Vista on that, and if they want to stick with XP what's the support plan for XP?

    I don't understand why.

    Why should someone make people do something that they are not interested to do in the first place? Who said that 50/50 sex ratio is the desirable ration in any field? Sure, that would probably be nice for dating, but somehow I don't think that's what those people were thinking about.

    And those forks will have to be significantly better than the GPL3 originals if they are to last longer than a month or two. I can count the number of successful forks on one hand.

    They will be significantly better for people who prefer GPL2 over GPL3.

    Maybe they should use a license that ask for credit. I have sometime the impression that people don't get what "free" code means... it's even sadder when those people are the one that develop it (or even worse: try to promote the freedom idea without understanding what it means)

    An idea... if somebody disappears can you claim in justice that The Rapture just happened? Not that I have any murderous ideas, but I'm interested how those claims work... personally I don't think that would work and I think it would be a pretty clear sign that people know that's complete bullshit.

    Hypothetically if Jesus returns (not that I believe he could) he would be interned in the first insane asylum.
