People in IT are effective researchers. No special knowledge is required beyond the ability to research information as required. I need very little expertise in any area what so ever, as long as I am capable of looking up that information and reading it and understanding it. A whole internet of experts on every imaginable subject, to access and gain the part of their expertise that they make available and that I require at that time. Now you can either accept the research that others have done and produced for others to access or in your world, only accept your own. How great is my expertise, great enough to look up the intellectual efforts of others and make use of it, it's called reading and unlike dead tree reading, I can look up the exact bit of information I am after through effective filtering of the information available http://scienceblogs.com/pharyn....
How about we look at it from a more logical direction. Who controls the majority of the largest tech corporations either directly or indirectly (controlling funds that own shares, controlling brokers that control shares and having direct financial links to many companies), the infamous banksters. Now they have a massive influence on government and government has a massive influence over all those three letter agencies. So yeah, not so much goggle being biased or three letter agencies being politically biased or even the government being biased for itself although of course it is but the bias in the major financial corporations and their total support of the Clinton Corporation. So not so much the NSA leading as being led by it's corporate contractors and those contractors lobbyists and the owners of those contractors and they also run Google.
Apart from the illogic of an advance long lived species desire to remain bound to an unstable planetary surface, with variable stellar output and not being able to get out of the way of undeflectably large impacts. The greater stability of mobile orbital colonies and say city ships makes it logical, that while more primitive planetary bound elements of the society went extinct, the more advanced elements simply continued within more replaceable enduring environments. Not to mention the very strange idea, the more advanced the more stupid, rather than the more logical, advanced sufficiently to be able to plan maintain the stability of their society, bearing in mind the natural fracturing that would occur with expansion to the galaxy, the more advanced, longer lived and slower breeding, tending to create those new environments, leaving their dirt bound Luddites behind.
The only problem with the reporting is, tech people tend to be well educated and understand the law, not people who can be readily victimised. The more claimed victims, the more improbable it becomes that they did not inform the authorities and seek prosecution for that activity. Geeks and nerds tend to be pretty active and vocal complainers and whilst predators do actively seek out people who share a victim profile in terms of behaviour, the over confidence of the predator in short order puts them into conflict with people who will aggressively defend themselves and even others.
One thing victims should always bear in mind, failure to act means you share in the harm of future victims, affirmative action early means many fewer victims. Victims should never feel shame because of an attack but they should feel shame for failure to properly respond and striving to prevent future victims. It is an awkward and disruptive occurrence, seek support and pursue justice, not just for yourself but for other existing victims, as well as of course to prevent future victims. Learn how to 'grr' the fuck up and present a resistive, mutually destructive, nature (I will destroy myself if necessary to destroy you should you initiate an attack, a state of mind that expresses itself in posture, facial expression and vocal tone, even if not true).
All to hard trying to get tech companies to agree to anything. What we need are meta data 'BOMB' add ons, that run in the background creating false data and basically blow up their data bases. It won't generate too much traffic because you do not need to conclude the full data transmission, just create false meta data. All just quietly ticking away in the background, accessing random locations for random amounts of time, with out any action by the end user.
Data caps are all about uploaders and have nothing what so ever to do with downloaders. The PR or course is always about people downloading but the reality is about killing off uploaders. The idea is ISPs want to become middle persons, publishers of content and want to charge a percentage for that. Hence caps target uploaders, raising up their costs, in order to cut them out of the market, unless they sign up with the ISP to be their publisher. For the end user, typical the ISP does not metre data coming from the ISP but does for all competitors to the ISP content publishing model.
Every greedy fucker on the planet wants to be a publisher, produce nothing but bullshit marketing whilst seizing permanent ownership and control of all creative content in order to basically print money via monopolistic practices. This in spite of the fact that the internet has pretty much made publishers redundant, which is why they strive so hard via corruption of government to maintain control of information channels.
The government is required to provide essential services because a minimum uniform standard needs to be applied country wide to ensure, citizens are not discriminated against by being regionally insufficiently profitable at any particular time. Those regions would suffer further economic loss, which makes them more unprofitable and produces further economic loss and this of course spirals into collapse. So essential services are far more effectively provided by governments, than corporations because corporations routinely collapse maintenance, service and support to pump up short term quarterly profits, regardless of long term consequences including total collapse (think blowing up oil platforms, bankrupt corrupt energy companies et al). Banking and finance should be considered an essential part of economic infrastructure and should be nationalised and simplified to stabilise the economy.
When it comes to that style of extended gaming, the ones with the greatest usability are those that can operate mainly just by mouse inputs, one handed, allowing for more relaxed reclined gaming and snack and drink consumption. So definitely PC way over game console or more accurately mouse (and occasional keyboard) over game controller.
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space-based navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.... So more complex and there is a great visual diagram of the 24 satellites. So you can not really cut off one region without harming all surrounding regions. Of course using GPS as a weapon only works once because from there on in, no one could trust it any more.
The silliness of the Russian troll claims. The Russian government seems incapable of doing their trolling internally via their security staff or military and must resort to cheap PR contractors. So does the Russian government do it, probably, do they use cheap unreliable contractors, probably not. Anyone can search upon this planet and find literally tens of millions of people who will say anything and make any claim you want them to, if you pay them enough and that enough is quite often not very much at all. The days of US government dredging up people to say all sorts of things and have thinking people believe any of it are long gone, can't prove it in a court of law, STFU America.
The desktop situation is far different to the smart phone drop in sales. When it comes to desktops, the majority of consumers are simply not buying them at all any more. They only ever bought desktops because that was the only cost effective solution, for general use, media consumption and education because notebooks at one stage were far too expensive and smart phones or tablets or smart TVs did not exist. The desktop market is shrinking right back to it's original base, power users, business, government and higher education. The era of typical end users buying desktops is pretty much over.
Smart phones still have scope for growth with regards to greater capability, especially with virtual reality glasses enabling people to carry a big screen TV in their pocket along with that smart phone and that leads to longer battery life requirements and durability demands kicking in (fewer upgrades produces demand for extended usable life).
Reality is, we could easily do it, if we shifted from a war focus to a space focus. In fact making that shift military industrial complex to the space industrial complex happen is far more difficult than developing and applying the technology to get from the Earth to Mars. Even when that war focus is likely to kill us all.
Nah, the moron is the fool who thinks they can get their code back by shooting someone and then shooting themselves. Easy access to guns and limited access to mental health services, just produce these results.
The noisy plane where you really experience flight and chat with the pilot. You also avoid sexual assault, involuntary xrays and stripping down. No hours long queue, don't pay for a flight when it does not occur or prevented by security from accessing it. Don't have to worry about items being stolen from your luggage or your luggage going to the wrong location. I could see a lot of people preferring it, so perhaps a semi-commercial licence for light planes and a very limited number of passengers say no more than 4 total including the pilot.
Technically the first digital weapons arose around https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.... Breaking a machine generated code by other machines and used in war, hence the first examples of digital warfare. The current effort is just an example of the mass stupidity of the CIA and NSA in releasing weapons that can be readily discovered post use, and easily edited and copied and infinite number of times. Stupid is as stupid does. Those morons keep playing computer wars and the rest of us will end up with the consequences of the ultimate weapon in digital wars, electro magnetic pulses. That is the guaranteed inevitable result of the current stupid escalation.
In the case of the United States of America, lead poising has created an entire political movement, the Christian Right (who proudly stumps around with a bible whilst going against the majority of it's principles). An entire nation of lead addled fuckwits, well, not entire nation but there are way to many examples for the rest of you to escape that embarrassment. Seriously what a mess, proud to be stupid, celebrating thinking from the gut over reasoning, attacking schools and teachers, crazily trigger happy law enforcers and look at the two leading political candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, what the fuck are you people thinking, well, apparently thanks to lead all over the place, not much at all.
To be fair, it certainly explains a lot and yeah, it's not really the majority of Americans fault and all down to corrupt politicians and unfunded tax cuts but damn I would be furious, cars on fire, smashed corporate windows, shutting down wall street, furious and yet thanks to the lead, you just continue to drink the koolaid or is that leadaid.
Damn the Clinton political trolls are out in force. Seriously blaming Trump for the current state of out sourcing and H1B scammed major salary cuts is just so right wing daft, especially doing it on/. It is only the PR bubble that keeps it going, believing their own lies and believing everyone else believes (professional liars caught up in their own delusion of superiority). It comes off really lame and stupid blaming someone for something they adamantly had no control over and just straight up loses far more than it gains.
They should save the silly stuff for cheetos forums, where the sheep congregate, it just comes off a really lame and a reason to counter, not for any political reason but just to fuck up loathsome PR firms trolling forums.
I think Dr Jill Stein is the far better candidate better than Bernie Sanders and the even the Libertarian candidate is better than the other two. Perhaps the independents can throw the whole thing into chaos and ensure the other two are knocked out of the running. The Hillary Clinton paid trolls are certainly seem to be trying to make it happen in their clumsy right wing propaganda style. Typical of professionals trollers they are at the top of every forum thread, only to be shot down throughout the rest of the thread, so to those morons, really think you are winning, or just stinking up the place and losing.
It is even a thinner line between what M$ is doing and what conspiracy theorists could make of M$'s seemingly desperate bid to force as many users as possible onto Windows 10, where M$ has total control and can change anything they want at each and every compulsory upgrade. Shut down all windows computers during a specific planetary event, silence all political talk on issues that M$'s board approves but the majority rejects, shut down computers during critical election moments, silence all protest et al. This stuff is getting seriously out of hand and pretty wacked, it is getting very hard to understand what M$ is doing and why governments are accepting it, this is getting to be pretty wacked stuff, insane behaviour by a corporation. It already has to be accepted that prying into everything small and medium business is doing and what the employees of major businesses are doing, gives them a powerful ability to collude with the banksters in a massive insider trading scheme to generate billions, that is what you do with the data they are analysing and the very reason why it should be banned outright.
Your use of the word 'observation' would tend to logically indicate that the correct statement is 'the universe appears to be expanding faster than our original hypothesis'. As it is impossible to confirm via alternate view points or experiment with alternate universes, only hypothesis based upon appearance can be postulated.
Benefit of a smart TV is it can largely function like a desktop computer, simple example plug in a USB hard drive and play content. What Samsung did and is playing to do is a breach of contract and blatant theft of consumer resources ie the use of the device paid for and owned by the consumer temporarily denied to the consumer in favour of the original manufacturer and of course using consumer internet bandwidth and data traffic without the consumers consent. These represent major breaches of many countries consumer laws and as such will result in major penalties. Those penalties will have double impact, not just the cost of undoing the damage to consumers but also putting consumers off future purchases of the product. http://www.cnet.com/au/news/sa... You can see they have already chickened out in Australia.
What is a surprise is they don't seem to realise how inaccurate it is. Google maps had me going to Singapore when I never left my home country and repeatedly visiting all sorts of places I had never come within kilometres of. Even regular routes can become rather zigzaggy by hundreds of metres, rather then following the actual path. It seems relatively accurate, maybe about 80 percent of the time and the inaccuracies can be hundreds of metres, tens of kilometres and tens of thousands of kilometres (I am really curious how it managed to get me to Singapore, any googlites with info on how that could occur would be appreciated).
Obviously Google should pony up the legal advice on inaccuracies before investigators start making stupid mistakes. Also what bits of transmitted data defines where the phone is, GPS is not enough as it just defines location not the phone, the phone must also be identified.
Data is everything a mobile phone sends and receives. So a video phone call is a data sent and data received. As growth in video phone calls increase, so will recording and sending videos, rather than sending a photo, with a corresponding surge in data traffic.
Currently their plan to get away from oil, for the ones at the top only of course, is to become an economic parasite, using investment capital from oil, to bleed other countries economies for ever, whilst contributing nothing positive to those economies, ever. It is looking like given recent developments, they might not have that much left to investment, as the the house of Saud royals are about to get royally screwed in US courts and will have to pay the rest of the world for the harm the House of Saud has caused.
Gees cherry pick data much. http://www.statista.com/statis... A better spread showing your chosen starting point as the very peak of Nokia. Also never forget https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... burning platform memo (an accident or done on purpose) and he go paid a bonus for the sell out and M$ paid for 70% of that bonus. Of course Elop is now at Telstra https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... so you can bet a windows anal probe 10 only policy and forcing that on end users and a convoluted conspiracy to take over the NBNhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Broadband_Network at a massive discount and another multi-million dollar bonus for Elop and some really funny off share tax haven stuff for those politicians who appointed Elop.
