  1. nomad is a bit large on Geek Gift Ideas 2001 · · Score: 2

but the carrying case hooks to my belt nicely. If you go jogging it will skip a bit every 3 or 4 mins as it loads into the dimm but then it is rock solid. I'd love a nomad the size of an IPOD but I value the extra space more than the small size.
Bottom line though the Ipod looks cool :)

I store files on my nomad all the time, just play the extension game. It is a SLOW load though I will tell ya. The interface DOES suck, but the device is great, 200 hours of music at 249.00 vs the VERY expensive IPOD(400.00 ?). I get 4 hours per a set of batteries, I've got 3 and it has excellent sound and dual audio outputs, plus and input. I use it alot in my car plugged into the auxilary of my stereo. The ipod is slick looking, apple is nothing if not Stylish. But it's hard to load some new music in your Ipod 40 miles from anywhere on the river fishing :)

I find that the friends I made working mid shift as an operator are closer, and I still see more of them than the ones in the programing group I work for now. There is definetly somthing to the adversity bonding theory. The gang I worked with in server recovery is still closer than half my family, somthing about 10 hours sessions late at night brings people closer.

If there was any negligence you can sue...I KNOW I DID. Go to small claims court, file for the max and show your pictures, UPS never even showed up, I won the value of the hardware as on the market today, which means I lost hundreds but I got the machine back.
As an avid traveling LAN'r I must point out that DHL is the BEST carrier around. They have shipped my machine 15 or more times and never had a problem. We also use Airbourne express but that does not help for ground.
