Regardless; we can agree that the phrase "Gunshow loophole" is just a marketing term and has no basis in reality, right?
At least they could call it a "Private sale loophole" and be honest about it.
Wow. Are you really saying if this does not have a 100% success rate, then it's not worth doing? I guess there's no sense in getting out of bed tomorrow.
I was content with this as well, until I noticed my dedication to getting movies watched and returned even in what Netfilx deems to be a reasonable time frame wained. I've had my last two movies for 2 weeks now. Maybe even more. I think paying per rental will suit my movie watching habits better.
Suffice to say, even the slickest market campaign can't account alone for iPod's success; just look at the PS3 or Zune: you can't pull the wool over everyone's eyes all the time.
ORLY? Its not that I disagree with your point, but it's kind of hard to call an unreleased product a failure. If you'll remember, a large number of people thought the iPod would fail before its release as well.
So you're saying the law specifies that Apple has to open up Fairplay to competitors, but Competitors don't have to open up their DRM method to Apple? This seems unlikely to me.
I pry mine off. I cant stand them. There isn't much as irritating as typing in 'insert' mode and over writing yourself. The only legitimate use for the insert key i have found is in VMWare, where you can use ctrl+alt+ins to send a ctrl+alt+del to your VMWare session.
I was working on this as well untill I got to the following lyrics:
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.
I decided I may have been missing the point of the song.
I am shocked at the negeative acceptance this is getting. I for one can't wait for Blu-ray or HD-DVD to take off. My major reason for not owning an HDTV is lack of content, and this solves that problem. My cable provider dosn't do HDTV in my area yet, there are aparently too many trees for me to get satalite, and OTA is out of the question. I can't even receive standard def TV. Besides that the majority of TV I watch isn't available ATO. I suppose I could be the exception, but I can't believe there arn't a bunch of people in a simmilar situation as me.
Oddly, the majority of divorces I see around me are couples who married because the sex was good. They have just been incompatable in other areas of life.
I'm not sure how backwards compatibility went from something that nobody even considered, to an absolute make-or-break requirement for all new consoles so quickly.
Because Sony showed it was possible. Now that people know it can be done, they expect it.
Oddly most MS media center PC's are relativly high end systems. I think it would be excelent for most people who are only doing web surfing email chatting etc...
Frontrow is a quicktime only joke. Where do I get content for that? And don't say iTunes store. Ditch the bundleware and the hardware is nice though, too bad they won't sell em naked.
My Front Row installation gets contenet from all over the place. Handbrake, CD's, archive.org, apple trailer downloads, and yes, I am going to defy you and say iTunes.
If all your interested in is the form factor, why not just go for something like this
Whoever thought selling a 'media center' machine without digital audio should have been sacked.
I don't remember it ever being marketed or sold as a 'media center' system.
a puny (for a media center) 60G laptop hard drive
Two things here. As I mentioned before. Its not being sold as a media center system. Its sold as a low end Mac, for which 60G is plenty. Secondly, the idea is if it is used as a media center system it would just be a front end. Hence the added audio and video streaming from networked computers in frontrow.
If you care enough about sound quality to complain about the difference between aac compression and aac compressed files converted to mp3, you most likely wouldn't have bought your music in an a lossy format to begin with.

No shit. That whole "3.5 inch floppy disk" thing was an embarrassment, wasn't it?
I have no problems with the IE7 rendering engine. It's everything else about it that pisses me off.

TFSU
Safari, Konquerer, and Opera I believe all pass

Ok. Does this mean that in France I will now be able to use my iPod with Napsters subscription service?

...and I want a Pony...
I had to look it up. I thought I might as well share:
Area Man Constantly Mentioning He Doesn't Own A Television
Thats where I got the nick ;)
Because happy healthy employees are loyal productive employees
For example Yamaha sells its HTR Receivers at retailers like Best Buy, and their similar RX-V Receivers through "authorized resellers".

I think those are called "Switchers". One taste of the forbidden fruit and you are doomed.

What other job would you propose for the thing?
