What I got from playing WoW was a lot of people who wanted to grind the same things over and over again, instead of doing different quests. There were also people who couldn't follow orders, people who had no idea how to play their character, people who would quit if they died once, and people who would quit out of nowhere without giving any warning.
What was the problem with the Apache setup? Was it a problem of Apache, or a problem of the Fedora maintainers?
Windows has completely control of what is in their base install, from the bottom up. If you had a problem with the install they used for Apache, you're free to create your own.
How will the shareholders feel if they pull out of China? Would that be acting in the shareholders' best interests? I'm not sure if ignoring a possible 1.3 billion people would be the best for them in the long run.
I'm interested in who your old instructor was. I used to watch UFC when it first started out.
But more to the point, I used to take Shaolin Wu-Shu Kung Fu, and the instructors were also very tough. Many times, we'd have to punch at pillars in order to learn control, or do crunches while an instructor punched our stomachs. Sometimes, our master would even run over us all in a line. But it was that type of training that made me feel like it was actually doing something.
Agreed. I love my Lian-Li. Although I have been ricing it up a little lately. For example, I got a side window. But it was mainly in the interest of cooling, since I can easily buy a window with a hole cut for a fan. I also riced up some of my existing fans with LEDs. They're not real bright and they didn't cost any more than I'd pay for regular fans with more airflow than my originals. And soon, I plan to cut two more holes in my case, all in the interest of airflow. Will they have LEDs in them? Most likely. Will it still work exactly the same without LEDs? Most likely. Will my case still be a boring, brushed metal box? Definitely not. It'll be a brushed metal box with blue eminating from all vent holes.
Usually, I would chastise Zonk for duping, misleading headlines/summaries, biased reporting, or something else. But for 8 hours, he's been the only one to post anything. For that, I applaud him.
Thank you, Zonk, for giving me something to read on a Sunday afternoon.
And now I notice that they rarely -- if ever -- show the oldie-but-goodie cartoons such as Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, etc. Maybe it's that there are so many new cartoons that they don't have enough time to show the classics. But it also looks like the cartoon-violence crazies may have won.
This isn't Digg. This site was designed to be a nerd news site. It deals with tech, science, games, and more. And it has done fairly well when it comes to sticking to the topics it was designed to "report" to its readers.
Exactly. By the time I actually had enough free time to participate in the Summer of Code, I was no longer a student, since I was usually taking summer courses that condensed 12-16 weeks of classes into 5 weeks.
You feel like you're overpaying for Intel, but you didn't ever feel like you were overpaying for PowerPC in the past? I have a feeling that if Apple had used AMD chips, you'd still be paying the same price, but more of it would go directly into Apple's pockets.
I'll agree with you about Apocalypse Now and Heart of Darkness. They were very much the same story, with a slightly different setting to them.
Regarding Heart of Darkness, I feel the same way you did about Lord Jim. It was split into two parts, and I found it extremely hard to get through the first part. But overall, the story was great.
It's kind of the same way I view the original Star Wars Trilogy. The story is a good one. The acting, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired.
You claim that they will have larger textures, and more of them so things aren't repeated. Games such as Final Fantasy can now have truly unique enemies that aren't just palette swaps of other textures.
I disagree. These games have the potential to do as you say. But whether or not they actually will is a different story. It's all a matter of capital, and how much the producers are willing to spend on the creation of the game. Creating these unique super high res textures will take a lot of hours.

Wikipedia would have taken you even further, letting you know that it was written by Otis Blackwell and recorded/performed by Jerry Lee Lewis.

I use Konqueror, you insensitive clod!

Plus it was because of him that the Berlin wall came down.

I raise you Michelle Rodriguez, currently serving a 60-day sentence for drunk-driving. Not much, but she's still in jail.
I don't know if you've read his blog, but this kid definitely is not going to Harvard for schooling any time soon.
You must be new here.
So they make people American and Anti-American at the same time? Is it some sort of logical paradox designed to explode people's heads?

They did if you choose to acknowledge the SMB movie. But I can't blame you if you don't choose to do so.

I don't understand your statement "Oh, I see." Does it have a similar meaning to "oic"?
Uggh.. All I've read from Conrad was Heart of Darkness, and now your mention of his name makes me want to hide under my desk :(
They may not have non-killing functions, but they do have non-criminal functions. Hunting.... and.. umm.. target practice?
Until 2038, of course ;)
I believe the dual core desktop Intel chips are Pentium D, Celeron D, and (maybe) Xeon D.
