The outside of the DS Lite is a clear plastic (except on the hinge). The result, the actual finish of the machine is well-protected. I suppose if the plastic part were scratched, it would be possible to get a replacement.
I do note that you mentioned nothing of price. But part of the Apple stigma (yes, it still exists) is their high price. Let Nintendo and Apple be different companies. There is no need to compare them. Nintendo profits. Enough said.
Did you somehow miss the link? It basically said to remove files with a preceding '-' (-filename) you do 'rm -- -filename' or 'rm./-filename'. And to remove a file with unprintable characters try 'rm file?with?unprintable?characters'.
Now Google can keep all of my credit cards on file for me! Maybe the NSA should contract them for a new domestic spying program.

It's called "calibration." I know that when I turn around 180 degrees in a game using a mouse, the mouse isn't turned around or facing 180 degrees behind me. Nobody ever said that it was a 1:1 movement between the control and the character in game.

You act like these types of books/articles don't exist for Windows. Look at digg on any given week. You'll likely see at least one "How to do $x in Windows to speed up $y" or "How to unlock $z in Windows" article.
I haven't bought the first episode, but I will give my opinion anyway.
I'd have no problem if they had a single game that was delayed for 1 or 2 years. I know I'd be getting quality in the end. But if I just bought the first part to a game, then realized I'd have to wait a whole year before I saw how the story continues, I'd be fairly angry.
And then how's it turn out if I wait a year or two, then the second and third episodes aren't really good? Then it'll just seem like the Matrix.
Maybe he's referring to the BSD network code they used. I know that it was used in 95/98, but I haven't done enough research into how 2000/XP works to know if it's still present.
I was hoping for a Rock 'n' Roll Racing MMOG. And don't you dare tell me to try Auto Assault. I was in beta for it, and I got a few free weeks after it was released. And now I see they're giving the box away for free with a purchase of Guild Wars Factions. I was not impressed at all, and it seems nobody else is, either.
Creating a real photograph is a lot more complex than simply pressing the "Print Scrn" button on a keyboard
Taking a real photograph involves depressing the shutter release button. Sure, a lot more goes into taking an artistic photograph, but does Flickr really have that many artists sharing their photos with the world? I'd be willing to bet its more people sharing pictures of friends.
While I (and many people I know) agree with you, most corporations don't. Why pay for 2 people when it can get done with 1? I would love it if I could get a job just doing the programming side of web development, but all the companies want somebody who has 10+ years experience AJAX, XHTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Javascript, ASP.NET, and ColdFusion each.
On screen keyboard, maybe? The point-and-click interface would support that. USB keyboard? It does have at least one USB port in the back. Maybe they'll license the Graffiti algorithms and recognize certain gestures with the wand as letters. They have been talking to Palm in the past, if I'm not mistaken.
That's exactly why I disliked Sephiroth and why he seemed like a caricature. He was pretty much and over-powered superhuman. Plus (if I remember the story correctly) he had a good reason for wanting to destroy the earth. Sometimes I felt sympathetic for him.
Kefka, OTOH, was a seriously messed up human. He was a genocidal maniac who killed for no good reason. I could look at him, and liken him to Hitler or other despotic leaders who use mass murder to rise to and keep their power. But, yeah, he did look like a fruit. Check out the instruction book drawings. He was basically a clown.
I completely agree with you that it's in the eye of the beholder. And I do agree FFVII is a great game. But it seems a lot of the people who proclaim FFVII is the greatest game ever are the ones who started playing with FFVII (the Playstation generation of gamers) or haven't played it since it came out. I thought it looked great when it came out. I also thought Chrono Cross looked great. But when I went back to play it a year ago, I realized the frame rates were chopppy and the models were extremely low-res.
No. The graphics aren't as great as they were perceived when it first came out. I'd much rather play a great sprite-based game (FFVI) than a game with early 3D graphics.
Then again, graphics aren't everything. But FF6 beats it in the story department, too. And the gameplay department.
It also means you'd have to re-buy your game collection every time your console died.

I used to agree with this analogy. But then I realized Nintendo doesn't (usually) rape their customers with a high entry-price.
Do the developers plan on integrating popular extensions until the codebase is as bloated as Mozilla of the olden days?

Smokers generally have nicotine stains on their hands and fingers from constantly handling cigarettes.
Is it just me, or do those prizes seem kinda lame for the amount of work they expect to be put into these apps?

Oh well. Here's hoping for a Lost Vikings MMOG.

I think it's fairly obvious that it's in the Matrix.
In that case, I'm off to Florida to hunt Jack Thompson, come September.
Has Netcraft confirmed it?

Not only gaming's monster chips, but servers' monster chips.
