Some people consider thwacking a small white ball with a large metallic or wooden stick, a crooked stick mind you, a sport. Sport is a very BROAD word. That has become a synonym with "activity". Swimming is aparently a sport. Now, is swimming the distance of an American Football field in under a minute a testimate to a person's ability? I'd say sure, that son of a bitch is a great swimmer. Is it a sport? I'd say no, unless they did it because crocodiles were chasing them down while they did it.

The western monothestic religions cannot co-exist with science. It just won't happen. Ask Galielo what the Catholic church thought about a Heliocentric universe, or Darwin's idea of evolution.

Over time a scientific theory will be accepted by religion, and in fact added into their religious canon, but the fact remains, when a new theory comes about, it takes a while.

Then you have the extremists, like the fundamentalists. They'll never accept that evolution happened. They'll never accept that this planet is older than six thousand years old. Oh, and they'll never broaden their views, either.

I'm a big fan of the Splinter Cell series. I love the stealth genre, and I was first in line to buy the game after I played the demo a few weeks ago. It's still extremely unstable, however. I don't mean unstable like SC2, where the game would crash after browsing for more than 10 seconds for a multiplayer game to join, more like... piss poor porting. I was getting blue screens during play, until I read on a forum to uncheck one of the advanced video options, that only prevented the blue screens while the game was running, it would then do it every time I quit the game. After a few days of doing that, I played it again, and it said my saves were corrupted. Needless to say, I'm not impressed with Ubisoft.

Actully, Visa and Mastercard cover the expenses lost to fraud to both customer AND the business that got frauded. One of the other two or maybe both, refuses to give compensation to the business, so they eat it out of their own pocket. That's one of the biggest reasons why Visa and Mastercard are ALWAYS accepted, Discover and American Express are less so.

MONITOR YOUR CHILDREN WHILE THEY ARE ON THE INTERNET. I know it's a crazy notion to keep an eye on your children, but deal with it. If *I* want to look at porn all day, it's my right as a a citizen of the United States to do so. You don't have a right to stop it. If you don't want to see any naked women, fine. I don't want you to cause potential lag on the websites I'm browsing. There's gobs of software on the internet, which is usually linked to on the site agreement of any porn site, that you can install, and thus prevent your children from doing something you object to. You're a parent, and it's your right to tell them what to do on your internet connection. But you don't pay MY bills, therefore if I want to look, you shouldn't have any right to tell me.
