Why do you assume truth is mutually exclusive? One truth does not negate another. ID and Darwinism are both junk science. You don't build a house and THEN come up with the idea for it. The idea (non-physical) ALWAYS comes first, then the manifestation (physical.) Similiarly ID doesn't understand God, or how s/he works.
Simply asking for enlightnment shows that you don't understand how enlightenment or gnosis works. You are like a blind man asking for proof that these so-called various "colors" exist. You don't have a frame of reference to understand the answer. In the same way a baby can't do calculas until its mind has developed, you need to spiritually develop your mind and body, so that you can understand. You demonstrate what you understand by the life you live. When it is time for you have the answer, you will.
Another part of the proof involves the joy of finding your own proof and I will not take that away from anyone. You think the Maya knew that the age of universe was 16 billion years from asking others? Stop asking _others_ for useless knowledge, find your _own_ answers within, and you will have all the proofs you need.
Peace -- Unless you have been dead, you _know_ NOTHING about Life.
You forgot to factor in the total hardware _already_ sold... i.e. "Sony told those attending the video game industry's E3 convention last week that sales of its original PlayStation, launched in 1994, had reached 102m units and the PlayStation 2 console had now passed 140m worldwide in its ninth year on sale."
PS3 and XBox360 have a long way to go to hit 100 million units.

Oh please.
- Gen 1:1 The creation myth comes from the Summerians - Gen 8:1 The flood comes from the Summerian story of Gilgamesh - The 10 Commandments come from the Egyption Book of the Dead - Psalms shows many parallels with the Vedic Hyms - John 1:1 "Logos" comes from the "Pagan" Greeks (Plato) - In 1707, John Mill demonstrated 30,000 various readings from 80 manuscripts - Regarding the Codex Bezae, Dr. Vincent Taylor writes that: "It is characterized by a series of remarkable omissions in Luke, especially in chapters XXII and XXIV, and by many striking additions and variations in the Acts" - Adam Clarke Commentary on 1 John 5:7 states that: "But it is likely this verse is not genuine. It is wanting in every manuscript of this letter written before the invention of printing, one excepted, the Codex Montfortii, in Trinity College, Dublin: the others which omit this verse amount to one hundred and twelve. It is missing in both the Syriac, all the Arabic, Aethiopic, the Coptic, Sahidic, Armenian, Slavonian, etc., in a word, in all the ancient versions but the Vulgate; and even of this version many of the most ancient and correct MSS. have it not. It is wanting also in all the ancient Greek fathers; and in most even of the Latin".
I could go own, but I'll let this article on Biblical Corruption provide with more references.
And I'm not even going to get into the fact that "The Book of Enoch" was the 3rd most popuplar book found in the Dead Sea Scrolls -- which starts the debate of WHO decides what even is scripture?

It doesn't matter if the game mechanics allows for, or even encourages, anti-social behavior. Some people don't find getting ganked by others fun.
The US would rather fight some bullshit war on "Terror" or "Drugs" (how do you win against inanimate objects they never say), then actually put the money to good use such as Science or helping to have no homeless.

Ultima II doesn't work on AppleWin? Hmmm. IRC, one could use a regular DOS3.3 with different sector prologue/epilogue bytes and you can load files.
I'll forward this to the rest of the dev team. I think Nick also reads/., so he may already have seen it.
> Sorry, the reason WOW is more successful is because it uses warcraft property I disagree. You are close, but missed the mark. Warcraft 2 had _atmosphere_. They were able to leverage that. The toon graphics actually worked in Blizzard's favor. Everyone was sick of yet-another-pixel-shader game -- plus the importance of the ability to run on "low end" hardware can't be stressed enough.
> WoW is not god's gift to gaming. All it did was copied the best elements of prior MMO's and put them into one game (mostly), and gave it the warcraft themed graphics and universe.
MMOs and RPGs. From the 3 Talent Trees, the partial set items, the character classes, to loot-whores they basically learnt their lessons from Diablo 2.
But yeah, agree that wow is a shitty game -- but you must remember everything is relative: compared to everything else, it is WAY better. Blizzard is known for evolution, not revolution -- the constant polish of the UI makes this painfully obvious when playing others. Blizzard nailed the BASICS, and that is more important then the rest. UO focused more on breadth, but Wow focused on Depth. (When do we get our Castles, or the ability to craft furniture, damit!) Talents at level 10, new skills every 2 levels -- they slowly keeping feeding you that most people put up with the asinine grind.
> WoW is not god's gift to gaming. All it did was copied the best elements of prior MMO's and put them into one game (mostly), and gave it the warcraft themed graphics and universe.
Totally agreed. I've ranted before that Wow designers don't have a fucking clue about dead time. They SERIOUSLY need to go play some old school D&D and learn about it. Now if only the stupid mods would understand "dead time" is NOT FUN, maybe you wouldn't be downmodded.
> That's the real reason: i.e. doesn't require any kind of serious twitch skills. That's NOT a bad thing -- you gotta consider the demographic! It's not really feasible to do a MMO FPS. The RPG genre is different. The average wow age is 30+, not some punk kids. For those that DO want that twitch gameplay, CoD is quite nice, but a SLOWER paced game is what the masses want. The former doesn't require manual dexterity, the latter does. You literally are comparing apples and oranges about STYLES of GAMEPLAY. (OK, PVP throws a monkey wrench in this, but we're not talking about that.:-)
I think the real problem with MMOs is, just because you know what you _don't_ want in a game, doesn't imply that you know what you _do_ want in a game. Allmost everyone agrees the grind is ridiculous, but there are no "good" solutions. (D&D "solved" it by limiting the "level grind" to maximum 20.) People think more is better, but it is actually worse. With 10,000 life, 70 levels, you lose the "core" of what leveling up means. Its all about perspective, and the illusion of power.
Nice to see that others aren't inhaling the warcrack though.

Without the magnetic force, the magnet will fall, so how can you say no work is being done?
That's like saying "Well since you are not moving, there is no energy required, EVEN though gravity is constantly pulling you down."
If a magnet is sticking to something where is it getting its energy from?
I still miss the directory history (Ctrl-PageUp/Dn) from 4NT. I see one person does too and came up with solution

Like what? The bots?
Blizzard has done jack about removing spammers and bots from bnet. You'll even be in a private game and get messaged.
> Secondly, these bots farm money and pump that into the economy. That's not how it's meant to work, and it destabilises the economy.
You're arguing about a game that has _infinite_ money and mats supply as "de-stabilizing" the economy?!?!
Come back when you've worked on a game or two.
Well, if Never A Straight Answer (NASA) would just be open and *gasp* honest, for a change, maybe they wouldn't be ridiculed.
You don't need weights -- your own body weight is enough. It just depends on the type of push-ups and sit-ups as Matt Furey has proven.
Ever seen a cat lift weights? How do they stay in shape? Because they are always stretching their muscles.
