If AC is referring to the same bomb that I'm familiar with, it was a bomb made for dam busting. What they did was spin the barrel shaped bomb towards the dam very quickly then drop it in the water at low altitude a couple hundred yards from the dam. The spin on the bomb would cause it to "bounce" across the water until it hit the dam which would cause it to sink to the base, which would then trigger the bomb to explode.

Exactly. Remember we are speaking of the same era when we saw U.S. Army training films of soldiers standing within view of atomic weapons going off with no regard to radiation. With such disregard rampant, why would the Nais even have the foresight to think of building a dirty bomb?

  14. Makefiles or No Makefiles? on Free Pascal 2.0 Released · · Score: 1

    Not trolling. Honest question.

On the FreePascal advantages page it says it DOESN'T use makefiles (second bullet point).

But on the tools page it says it comes with a tool called fpcmake, a "tool that allows you to make complex makefiles to compile programs and units with FPC. The Free Pascal team uses it to create all it's makefiles."

So which is it? I'm confused...

I disagree. Any programmer worth his salt knows that an essential part of readable, maintainable code is proper indention. I love how python FORCES you to do it. Thus preventing some of the horror show pieces of code I have had the misfortunes of attempting to read and *shudder* debug.

Let me preface my comment by saying I use FF and not IE. I think this sort of thinking is ludicrous. Let us pretend that FF is superior to IE in every way. Wouldn't this mean that IE should work hard to surpass FF? If everybody stopped developing because there was a "better" product out there, there would be no innovation. FF is not perfect, and never will be, therefore I encourage the devs at MS to make IE as good as they can to compete.
