The idea of a specific drug being a "gateway" to others is incredibly misleading. Alcohol and weed are the obvious places to start because they're the easiest to obtain. You're going to get to harder drugs eventually if you're that type of person, but no one is just going to start at heroin.
If it was this warm and warmer in 800AD (and before), how does that show that the heat now is caused by human interference. What was the heat caused by in 800? Did they not have catalytic converters on their...horses?
It's funny where he says that when he first installed Ubuntu, he had sound, 3d acceleration, and internet access; I had none of those three. However with Windows I had all of them. Personally I think it's all just luck of the draw with hardware; I've had 3 different sound cards and every time I attempt to switch to Linux I end up having the one sound card you _don't_ want to have with Linux.
Well then you're blind. It's to the left of the input box when you're talking to someone. The person who took the screenshot probably shut it off, which you can do, but this setting isn't remembered. The only positive thing is seeing the icons when you hover on a name. And much of it isn't eye candy: they new Away message controller is just bad design, and much of the settings have been removed or moved.
It's just the way that they've got the buddy icon by the convo box, and how the buddy list is now so cramped with stuff at the bottom, they should stick with the reason people use it and not make such a drastic overhaul in one release.
Oh god. This is terrible. They've ruined the whole thing. Why did they have to go and try to make it look like AIM. There is a reason people use Gaim instead. Now I am forced to decide whether I want to use the new Gaim, with one of the worst interfaces I have ever seen, or stick with 1.5, which doesn't support file transfer. Thanks for ruining a good thing.
Gigantopithecus is by no means new. In fact, it's so not new, it's in my Anthropology text. That makes it a minimum of 1-2 years ago, and I'm sure it's been known of longer than that.
You know what, I don't think the opinion of foreigners really matter at all to the American people, because you guys don't live here. You can have your own opinions, that's fine, but your viewpoint is majorly skewed compared to ours.
The Soviet Union suffered unbelievable casualties (BTW, almost 30 times as many casualties as the US) to help stop the spread of fascism and Nazism. Just cause they were commie bastards, doesn't mean we get to take credit for their sacrifices.
I didn't try to take credit for their sacrifices. That's why I said half of Europe...Russia liberated (and then absorbed into the USSR) the other half.
As an American I would like to clear this up. When I hear anyone say Europe I think "England kicks ass, France blows." We don't have a true opinion on anyone else. Everyone in the US hates France and loves the UK.
And also, there is no right-wing propaganda machine...we Republicans prefer to use the term "silent majority", which tends to mean the exact opposite. Just about any political commercial or show could be considered propaganda. The thing that no one seems to understand about the right-wing is that we tend to riot and protest much less than our left-wing counterparts, which I guess isn't truely a bad thing since they have the right to, it just doesn't show our true numbers...
Oh, yes, our Yankee Imperialist Bastards who have done absolutely nothing for the world...oh no wait...we liberarted half of Europe, yeah...and there's Kosovo too, a lot of that was us...and Kuwait in 1991...yeah I'd have to say we've done jack shit.
So many people do this it's not even funny. Most use 87 Chevette rads because they are the right dimensions. Damn, you can even go on DangerDen and buy ones that they have welded the right size fittings onto...how did anyone manage to think this was special enough to get on the front page?

That's also known as marxism aka socialism aka communism.
No, you're over generalizing the saying. A better way to put it would be like:
"Computers don't make calculations, people make calculations."
Since, while the computer (gun) is doing the actual work (killing), the software (bullet) & computer needed to perform the calculation (killing) was created by a person, and it needs a person to actually do the task (either type in something and hit enter, or pull a triger).

Curve breaker!
If you've ever seen the movie Shattered Glass, the writer who was played by Steve Zahn (Saving Silverman) is the guy who wrote this story.

That didn't make any sense.

This will be useful when you're speeding away from people with guns.

Maybe that's because they only has 6 million people. It's called Socialism, and it's been proven not to work in large countries.

Short? Long arms? Brain the size of a chimpanzee? Put it together now...
I'm probably the only person that doesn't care at all about GTA. The game is worthless.

YES! More dependence on oil! This is exactly what we need.
I'd say killing all your employees would be the best way to get rid of spyware.
I don't think that's communist policy. Losers keepers. Finders stabbed in the face.
