And that no one in the airport really checked if you had liquid except in your handbags? Also, may I point out that I can be just as dangerous using a pencil on a throat than a razor-blade?
Security is a facade, 95% of the time. (And 53% of all statistics are made-up)
I don't, in the bible sense - Jesus lived, but was not the god you pretend he was.
I would like to have a serious conversation as well, but you didn't sign in.
Definition of trolling (from wikipedia, citing Indiana University Knowledge Base):
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.
Topic (parent of my post):
Who here does Not believe the Jesus Christ came to this earth and saved us basically from ourselves. I would like to have a serious conversation with you.
Now. I was on topic with parent, on topic with the general discussion about Expelled, started a conversation, it was not irrelevant answering a question parent asked, and I invited parent to discussion - albeit he was Anonymous Coward, thus there was no way for him to have a discussion, and I pointed that out. I may have made an error saying Jesus was a god, but I wasn't really far off. My mistake.
Now please put forward in what ways I was trolling. That meme to say that a successful troll is still a troll is wrong in this case: the discussion that spurred was on topic and was not targeted toward me.
You want unfair? -1, Troll on my post, while I was the first to spawn a really good discussion on the topic... You got two or three +5 posts here, I've only got Trolled...:)
Oh well, I've lived longer than enough to know you should never trust moderators on hot topics. I have karma to burn anyway.

Go buy Renderware or another well done middleware engine, and you'll find that you can keep the same code between OpenGL and DirectX (and PlayStation, and Gameboy,...). DirectX is becoming more and more of an Game Engine than ever, but it is less mandatory than ever if you go for some middleware (which can be free and OSS, btw).
That's what I was thinking and it's been years that I said Microsoft would need to do that. Actually, would that happen - a Linux/Unix subsystem based on a custom Windows kernel, with a specifically designed UI, it would give me some faith that there are still thinking technical heads at Microsoft (obviously, there are thinking marketing heads, though one could argue that Microsoft is just making money on the inertia they built in the last decade[s]). And maybe regain me as a customer.
Right now, I'm using iTMS to get my music (almost all of it). I'm sometimes looking for alternative services (if they are cheaper or have tunes I can't get on iTMS). I would gladly go back to Piracy if the price of a song increases more than the inflation. Or just more than the value I'd give it. On any shop, iTMS included.
You realize that you are entering the famous scheme "nothing is perfect, and I will damn well make sure everybody knows" followed by a bit of "Bah, Humbug"?
Artists CAN demand unrestricted music. Apple can NOT force anyone to provide DRM-free tunes, but will gently accept your MP3 instead of your M4P if you want. Apple is a mean of distribution, not a record studio. Don't mix it up.
Now flame away. Or get a clue. Or another scapegoat.
I completely disregard any posts made by those accounts and any with a UID of more than 12M precisely because Twitter just uses those to answer to his own posts (or MacThorpe, which seems like a nice guy by himself, easily differentiable from the fake one). I sincerely would like to help getting rid of this flooder+troll, but I don't have any suggestion to make unless you remove AC posting rights (which I'm against) and/or remove all his account and IPs and prevent creating accounts from those same IPs (which could lead to complications, albeit not much short-term damage).
I can't even believe anyone would have the time he has on his hand, and he's one of the reasons I don't read the comments much anymore on/. Too bad for the crowd, the trolls won this round against me.
I bid 25c. If I win, I grant a free unlimited license to everyone so long as they do not sue anyone for patent infringement. Except Microsoft. Screw 'em. And except Anonymous Cowards and users whose IDs start with 746004.
Build your own computer... I've been there, and honestly all I got literally _was_ a lousy t-shirt. Attended/made install fests around campuses.
First thing I did out of university was to buy a Mac. Hardware is nice, could be cheaper but correctly priced (compared piece to piece). I didn't have to bother finding drivers and watching for compatibility. I open the box, put it on the table and *boom* I can compile all the stuff I need. I have a iMac for my home needs and a MBP on the road (try building your own laptop).
I used to think Macs were overpriced, but I compared it features to features and it's not that bad. I think the reputation still have a lot to do with how mac were priced in the 90s, but it doesn't hold anymore. Sure you can build a 350$ PC, but don't tell me it will be as efficient.
Unix with a nice UI. For me, the best of both world. For you, I'm sure you're happy with what you've got. That's what matters, no?
Last I checked, you didn't have to agree to the SDK license to get your app on other cell phones (that was a Q&A, before you ask). You can still code your own software and distribute it outside of the iTunes store. The contract is binding to the iTunes App Store. Enough with FUD. It is their distribution model. Comply or work something else.
So what's your question? If you simply wanted to point that out, let me tell you you ARE asking for troubles. Share using network shares, not shared folders. It's as fast, as convenient and much more flexible and secure.
And, mostly, not xp machines (even less Vista). Last one I got in a YH was Win95. Worst was Win 3.1...
And that no one in the airport really checked if you had liquid except in your handbags? Also, may I point out that I can be just as dangerous using a pencil on a throat than a razor-blade?

By extension, do we have free will? Given certain input, much people becomes predictable...
Yes, yes you could. But I doubt a Ballmer machine would be Turing capable.
How many joules per Library of Congress are we talking here?
You must be new here.
Is there a C-movie category for him? Because even B-actors often regrets having been in one of his movies...

Except that with Apple you receive 65% of the sales of your songs. Which is better than any RIAA contract, if you are an independent.
!= MacThorpe.
You should look closer. They are not the same UID and one of them (the 1.2M one) IS twitter (don't believe me? check his history...)
