Yes, and the Zaurus SL-6000 is one HELL of a machine! Integrated 802.11b, VGA display, and it runs linux. With pocketworkstation, you can have a full debian install on it. Hell, just to show off to my boss I installed the full asterisk PBX on the thing. His jaw hit the floor. There's SIP software to use the thing as a VoIP phone, it's just fantastic. I just wish sharp would support it a bit better. (read: at all)

I'm seriously considering changing banks (for many reasons in addition to the above) but I doubt anywhere else is really much better.

home pc users on slashdot with multiple machines are likely to have at least 1 linux box, but I wouldn't say that's true for most home users. I work in phone tech support for an ISP, so I talk to lots of residential customers, many of which have multiple computers, and they usually have their old windows machine for the kids, and a newer windows machine for themselves.

I was sorely mistaken. Also got an old Apple LCII, again, bad bad move. Just recently I had someone give me an old TRS80 too, with everything (original packaging, magazines, receipts, everything.) got it home before I realized I had absolutley nothing to use it for. Wound up giving it to an artsy girl because she thought it would look cool and "retro" in her apartment. Whatever. Got it out of my living room.

So, the computer I post to slashdot on is "windows based", but I have more linux machines. It's simply because I use the best tool for the job, and linux kicks ass for what I use it for, but isn't quite up to snuff on the desktop yet. I'd bet a good portion of the people that post to slashdot and use windows on thier desktop feel the same way.
