it's just another technological solution to a sociological problem. What's to stop someone from killing the wall operator and letting a plane in? what's to stop someone from just blowing up the computer center?
the only way to make people stop hijacking planes is to make them stop WANTING to hijack planes.
i gather from your comment that you believe that saddam had a hand in funding the al-queerda terrorists.
i would like to contest this issue. i understand that no evidence has been brought forward that demonstrates his support for these organizations; i also understand that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, as well as the impossibility of proving a negative, blah blah.
however, there are a couple of things that just don't make sense.
first, saddam is/was a megalomaniac. he is/was also a power-hungry control freak. he is/was developing weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear warheads, weapons-grade anthrax and possibly smallpox. thus, he a) didn't NEED to farm out his destructive urges to another group, and b) wouldn't have had an organization which he couldn't exert absolute control over do his misdeeds.
laden worked without the influence of saddam husayn.
the biggest problem I see with the mainstream adoption of RFID tags is thus: how will you pronounce it in casual conversation? ARE-fid? RUFFed?
"radio frequency ID tags" or "radio frequency IDs" is just too long. that's inconvenience, and people avoid talking about something if it's inconvenient.
"secure wireless network" is an oxymoron. without biting the/troll/ half of this comment, I'll chip in that i don't believe every soldier/marine/seal will ever be a walking starship troopers-style mobile supercomputer. There's too much risk involved in broadcasting your command and control information over the air like that.
now, to bite the troll: it's so much easier to complain about the way this country is run, than it is to lobby or leave, isn't it? fortunately, the parent doesn't have anything to worry about until laziness is outlawwed.
Then why do over 6 billion people still play it then? because: 1. you can't win. 2. you can't break even. 3. you can't even leave the game.
oh, what i would give to be able to mod parent up +1 ironic...
why not? it works for germany...
or is that just coincidence?

Adding features does not necessarily increase functionality -- it just makes the manuals thicker.
