I really am sick of this whole fanboyism on all sides. Do we all need to state our oppinions of the big three in every thread? Do we need to compare and contrast all the systems over and over?
I'd like to seem more stuff that matters, not the same tired banter.
Relativly new vaporware. Square Enix had trademark registration for the title, but that registration has recently expired. I read an article at RPGamer that stated Square Enix staff said that the company is no longer persuing the title.
They probably never started development. Too bad, I'd have liked to see it.

When Squaresoft trademarked the name Chrono Break in December of 2001, many Chrono Trigger fans became hopeful for the release of a third game in the beloved series. For the past two years, rumors and speculation have run rampant across the internet, raising hopes and creating dreams. This optimism persisted in spite of the fact that Unlimited SaGa, a name that was trademarked at the same time, became an actual game, while Chrono Break remained nothing more than a mysterious moniker.
That has come to an end. Various sources report that Square Enix abandoned its trademark on the Chrono Break name as early as last November. Furthermore, sources at Square Enix assert that the company has never begun work on a third installment of the Chrono series.
I'm sure that my two cents will get passed over quick, but what the hey.
It seems every other week im in a store that sells games and looking at these clueless and naieve parents trying to pick out a video game for little Johnny's birthday or whatever. I have spent quite a bit of time talking to these people explaining the ratings system.
Keep in mind I'm just another customer! Shouldn't stores be doing this? Every single person I talked to in the last 2 months had NO clue about the ratings system.
One gentleman in particular was buying PS1 games as a gift to a ten year old child from a church organization. He was about to buy a "Finding Nemo" game, "Xmen mutant academy", and some other title I don't recall that was rated M. He stated that he wanted to get non violent games. I told him that the T and M rated games were the rough equivelant of movies rated PG-13 and R. He was shocked. "What do you reccomend?" I said "Look here at the ratings; look for 'E'... and this box will show extra detil about the ratings.
Long story short, consumers are not informed and are not paying attention to the labels.
I think it is kind of funny. The commercials for games are all listing the rating on screen and saying the ratings info out loud. And in my opinion, the ratings information is pretty clearly marked.
While it may not be for *everyone*, I use a USB adaptor and Dualshock controller. This is fantastic for my SNES, PS1 emus and is PERFECT for any FFXI players.
By default FFXI is set up with correct button config for the PS controller. Camera and movement are easier than the keyboard IMO.
I'm not into fighters or sega so that whole thing eludes me. I'm a lowly windows user so compatability is not an issue. "Microsoft: Because you're too lazy to learn linux"
OT: Bastok is the Wisconsin of Vana'deil. "Welcom to Baskonsin"
Would you rather I pissed on virtual people or should I go and piss on real people? Should I indulge in violent acts in a virtual world or should I commit violent acts in public?
The four new RPGs of the PlayStation's Greatest Hits line-up, all Square Enix products, have been shipped to North American stores today. The games are Final Fantasy Chronicles, Final Fantasy Anthology, Vagrant Story and Xenogears. Each title is set to retail for $19.99 USD.
I bought best buy's extended warranty and when my PS2 had that problem, I used the best buy replacement plan. They basically refund the original purchase cost and sell you another one at the current price.
For the cost of the 25$ replacement plan, I got $80 back from a price drop and a FREE network adaptor.
I have so many other games to play right now, that I'm not bothered by a FF12 delay.
Seriously, I'm playing, FFTA, FFX-2, Sword of Mana, FF:CC, and somewhere in the middle of that (or after) I have FF11 to play. And those are just the SQUARE ENIX titles on my list.
Oh, and as for XBOX, I really don't see Square needing to develop for yet another platform. They develop for PS2, GC, and GBA. Do you think that japanise gamers will want to buy an Xbox just to get Square titles that could have released on another platform that they already own? As for US gamers, there are so many good PS2 titles, why not just get a PS2?
I bought my PS1, PS2, GBA, and GC all because of Square titles AND other titles. I don't have an Xbox. The only Xbox game I'm remotly interested in is KOTOR. I hope that Square ignores Xbox. I really don't want to have to own all of the current consoles.
Given the photos, my guess is that The Phantom is a PC stuck in a fancey port replicator case. OR It is displaying a screenshot, not gameplay. OR another device attached to the TV is displaying the screenshot/gameplay. That
Prove me wrong.
The only thing that these photos prove is that it has a pretty case.
Gateway's Pentium desktops did have P5 designations. The model numbers on the processor were similar to "P54" as reported in the BIOS. I had a P54C. I think that was my P233MMX uP.
1. Make or remake awesome thing 2. ??? (Consumer wants it) 3. Profit.
That's it. I'm going to buy this game, and an e reader and a used gba (if I have to) and im going to love it.
Nintendo hasn't got a dollar of mine since the SNES era. This is the "new SNES era" for me. Now they are selling me my childhood back at retail. No complaints here.
I'm sick of people complaining "I don't have friends to play with WAHHHHH!" Get some friends and spend the money for the games or don't. Just stop complaining, it's not nintendo's fault you can't use the special 2-player features because you have no friends. (or your friends don't have/won't buy the games)
What a coincidence. I gave my 2-week notice today.
YAY!
Where can I get a genome compiler?
DVD extras, DUH!!!

For those of you who don't know...
Doki Doki Panic was released in the US as none other than Super Mario Bros. 2 for NES.
Why on earth didn't N give us the "real" Mario 2??? (Untill Mario All-Stars)
Why not have MS just plop the nvidia chip in there for legacy? It could handle....I/O...or something.
Oh, wait.... nevermind.
I'm sure that my two cents will get passed over quick, but what the hey.

I personally noticed a 60% load time reduction.

In short, you can tell XP to run certain apps as another user. I'm too lazy to look up directions.
Google it.

They should be on the shelves soon.

Simply put: Replacements (im on my 3rd PS2) and 3rd party support.
With an emphasis on 3rd party support.
Anyone who is into final fanstasy or the vast majority of RPG titles has to have a PS2. (Or PS1 for older titles)
GTA is a major point, like another poster mentioned. Yes XBOX has them *now* but it didn't at GTA3/GTAVC's launches.
I just wanted to throw my vote under the parent.
I would love to play Seiken Densetsu 3. I have had the translated (yet illegal) rom available, but I'd rather play it on my SP.
It would be great to have the multiplayer capability as well.
Same for SD2/Secret of Mana

What does this have to do with jesus, you insensitive clod?!
"Don't buy it"
"We love it, but it doesn't blah blah blah blah...."
"But it's still the best"
Thanks for nothing....
after I burned them... so I could have the space to install Final Fantasy XI.
(Actually I REALLY did archive 7GB of mp3s to data DVDs cause I didn't listen to them often. But then again, that's ARCHIVE)

I'me sure there is more to tell then just that.
What kind of time travel did you use to get a Pentium 5?
*OH* you were talking about the pentium classic. My bad.
