You're right. It's wrong for a company to put together a business model, work hard over the years, be competitive, and ultimately succeed. It's fine to support a company, so long as they're not greatly succesful and have locations in more than one county.
Coffee - a great tasting addictive drug, that's legal and trendy to boot!!! What a great busine$$ to be in. Guranteed repeat customers. If there weren't so many coffee joints already (I live in WA) that's the first business I'd start.
What are they thinking making every graphic and headline a shade of the same pukey orange color? Just beacuse they have an orange arrow as part of their logo doesn't require every freakin' thing to be orange!
I won't use A9.com just because I'd become nauseated looking at it.
I think some smart ass cell phone employee should have all their company's cell phones emit the same frequency as a dog whistle. Just think what hell would break loose...
I am sooooo uncool! I had to do a search to find out what movie this was. Here's a bit more about the movie and the soundtrack composer:
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' soundtrack found only online
July 5, 2003
You won't find the soundtrack to the upcoming film ''The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'' in any U.S. store.
The music will be an online-only release, available exclusively at Apple's iTunes Music Store. It will not be issued on any physical medium or associated with any label.
The soundtrack will include portions of the score, composed by Trevor Jones ("The Last of the Mohicans'') and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Also featured on the soundtrack will be two new, previously unreleased tracks by African vocal combo Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
''The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'' stars Sean Connery and Richard Roxburgh in a tale of a group of superheroes joining forces to fight an evil industrial baron who has developed world-threatening weapons.
I don't know what it is exactly, but this just strikes me as hilarious.
Yes, I understand the legal ramifications, but in light of all the serious issues in the world (terrorism, SARS, famine, etc.) a bunch of nerds threatening to fiddle with a box that runs video games makes me giggle. Doesn't make it right of course, but it's still humorous.
Maybe when this little mystery group is done playing with the Xbox they'll do something better with their talents that is actually worthwhile.
Sure, during times of personal or national financial downturns people reduce the amount of money spent on entertainment, but the real factor is the amount of options people have now compared to just a few years ago.
I don't see music stores ever returning to the sales levels they held before because they aren't the only game in town anymore. Plus it's insulting to be charged $19 for a CD at a music store when you can dowload (legally or illegally depending who you are) just the tracks you want.
Looks like /. got a little shout-out from
Apple.

I read that title a bit too quick. Glad I was wrong.

I know, I know. Offtopic. Lighten up though, it's SPAM!!
I've got to say, that Flybar teaser photo is pretty effective
Forget Mars.

What you describe is not a social problem - it is a human nature problem.

Todd once appeared on MTV in a futile attempt to explain computers to Pauly Shore.
WOW!!! He actually met the weasel!!
You must have wanted the "I'm a loser and have nothing really intelligent to say" thread.
Hope this helps.
The G4 is so last month.
Small details in light of the mighty new G5... but I haven't seen any new accompanying mouse or keyboard with the new G5. Anyone else??
