You should never use the same password on multiple sites for this exact reason. It is easy to make a simple change to your password for each site, for example use the first character of the domain as the 5th character in your password, the rest stays the same. This makes each password unique and cannot be used to hack another account, but still easy to remember.
I signed up for VidAngel a couple weeks ago, but never used it. The other day they sent me an email offering me a free $20 credit to watch a movie on their site. So I watched an HD one, and after I was done I sold it back to them for $18, now I have an $18 credit and I didn't have to spend a penny.
In the same respect, all those that want to pay higher taxes. There is nothing stopping them from giving more money to the IRS. Leave the rest of us alone.
Sorry, This guy has no room to complain. The text on his website, not google, is horrible. When I first opened his blog I thought my browser zoom was off, but after checking I realized his font of choice was a bad one.
I think it is funny that you are blaming the company for you volunteering to work 70+ hours. I am a software engineer, and I have never worked more than 50 hours in a week, and even that is very few and far between. If I have to work late because we are releasing new code that night, then I take the next morning off as comp time.
How am I able to do this? I pick employers that respect work life balance. When I interview for a new job I ask them what their work life is like, if they say that they do a lot of crunch time late nights, or they have sleeping areas in the office that is a red flag for me and I move on. I make it very clear that I am being paid for 40 hours, and I stick to that 40 hours. I personally do not set a precedence for working more hours, otherwise the company will start to expect it.
There are engineers, at the company I work for, that do give more hours. They also tend to get more recognition that I do, but I am also ok with that. I have been promoted 3 times in the last 3 years and I am happy with that pace.
If you are thinking, where can I find this dream job you are speaking of, come to Utah. We are desperate for good software engineers. I get emails and phone calls from recruiters all the time, and in Utah we really respect the work life balance. There is so much competition for workers in Utah that wages are also really high compared to the cost of living. And best of all I live only 15 minutes from work. I don't have to take a long train rides to work and be hours away from my family. I don't have to commute in multi-hour long traffic jams. If my kids need me I can leave and go get them, bring them to work with me if necessary, or take them home.
If you really want to know what company I specifically work for, them PM me, and if you are interested in a job I can recommend one for you. Our own recruiters keep asking us for recommendations for new employees. We have a lot of fun here, and we are getting ready for an IPO in a couple years. We have an Arcade room, and computer gaming room, pool tables, ping pong, etc.
I see this a little differently. These jobs, minimum wage, were never intended to be something you lived off of. They are stepping stones towards a much larger paycheck and a better job.
I am a father of a teenager, who will very soon be looking for a job, How are they suppose to get a job when the minimum wage is $15/hour and they have no previous skills? Or if all the menial jobs are automated? As a society we need menial jobs with low pay so that our young, who do not need to support themselves, can get experience working. Without this we are going to have a hard time getting kids ready to be productive members of society.
In the meantime the previous generation who held these jobs should be promoted up the chain to better pay, as they improve there skills. This is how it is suppose to work. But when we pay the menial laborers more than managers there is no incentive to improve yourself and work up the ladder. I see this as a bad thing because again those jobs are now no longer available for the new generation of workers, or they are out of reach because they are too expensive to hire non skilled workers.
Unemployment numbers only count those that are still looking for work, but can't find it. Once you stop looking for work and go on welfare you are no longer counted as unemployed.
How about a wheel chair scoop on the front of the bus? Kind of like a Ski chair lift? The Person in the wheel chair gets lined up and as the bus passes they are scooped up and then moved into the bus with a conveyor belt or something?
I have always wondered if benefits are included in the calculation. Women often get benefits that men do not, for example paid maternity leave, contraceptives, etc. I would be willing to bet that if benefits were included the gap would be a lot closer to equal.
More people die each year from drunk driving.
All of you that think the government should force us to do what's good for everyone should support a ban on alcohol. Otherwise you would be a major hypocrite.

Every laptop sold with Windows also includes a sticker that has a valid Windows key. Just go download an image (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only) of Windows 8 and install it using the key and you now have a clean install of Windows 8. You will have to gather up your own drivers, but that is the price you pay:)
Also I have been able to install a clean version of Windows using the OEM disks but interrupting the install right after windows is done and before the crapware installs.
Here is a study that was done a long time ago (1985). Skip down to section 5. It states that the most productive engineers were given 78 sqft of dedicated floor space, thought of there environment as quiet, private, and could silence or divert calls, were not interrupted, and thought they were appreciated. Skill had nothing to do with whether the engineer could finish the project they were assigned. http://teaching.davearnold.ca/...
Maybe tech companies need to develop culture that encourages good engineers rather than hiring foreign workers.
Because of VR, I am holding off buying a new OnePlus phone until it supports 4K or better

We have consensus. The science is now settled and anyone that says otherwise is a denier.

If you are going to pick default coordinates, why not the middle of the ocean? or the top of mt Everest? Somewhere more amusing than a farm in Kansas?

I wonder how much tax payer money (grants) was wasted on this, unhelpful, discovery?
"I wonder is this could possible be related to Shari Steel ..."
The grammar in this sentence made my eyes water.
