My wife is in school, and she is one of the oldest people in class. There is about a ten-year difference between her and the rest.
The younger ones that might have had a chance tend to party a lot, and get distracted. Its that, 'hey we are in college so lets drink a lot' kinda thing. The class that she is in is 'secretary' course. She puts in a lot of extra hours that to get the marks that she did.

Quite a number of people were shocked to discover that the only people that were likely to pass were those that started working right off the bat. The Class sizes are 40 or so people, and that will cut down to 10 or 15, after this semester.

Part of what happens is the fact they open up the class to some people that probably wont make it. Just to get their money, and to maybe get them to take another different course, based on the skills that they have. A lot of people didn't realise that if they can't figure out how to do the homework, they wouldn't get a job.

Maybe they can set it up like the Google home page so that you can drag around the frames as you wish them to be.

How about the one that retroactively allows git-bay? Oh, it wasn't legal
Or the ever popular, to just ignore the Geneva Convention, where ever they see fit.

Maybe someone should change the constitution, so that the riders that get tacked on at the end of a bill, must reflect the actual bill itself.

Then you don't run into power-bill/anti-terrorism/anti-abortion bill that seems so popular these days?

i was one of those people too. I have always had pc's around.

The mac buy-in is too steep for most. Now with the mini, many people might be more tempted.

I recently bought a new mac, and have been so very happy. Once I figured out the minor differences, one being the apple key ves the alt key, not to mention the lack of a context menu (yay shit ctrl).

I left my gf in the futureshop. She played with the mac for a little here and there. Over the course of a couple of weeks, she was dreaming of it. Now we own one. She got a discount as sdhe is a student.

Now, I personally think that this is something that should be more encouraged, going back to an Emac, that is between the mini and an Imac. That way students can get the buy-in early. I think apple looses here because the students decide to stick with what they have already.

Even throw in a copy of student teacher edition of office with an imac, with a student purchase. Slick.

Maybe coming up with some ideas that would help change the way law-suits are handled. Maybe there should be a way to change the law, so that if a group of people are offended they can't simply sue. Or, at least have some sort of definite kine in the sand. Say things like suing the kkk over hate speech is ok. But suing them for selling a game isn't. The problem is that most people seem to forget that you can shut-off a gamer if you think that it might be offensive. All these lawsuits do is make even more people aware of the issue. More people are likely to try out the hot-coffee mod, if that is what the want.

Its like smiling Jack shining his big torch on all these evil games. I'm sure that take-two loves this, as long as they come out on top.

Simply put, the only reason that MS is even doing any upgrades is because of what firefox and others have done. MS has been caught resting on their laurels as it were. The idea was that a smaller set of companies were shining lights on the glaring issues that windows has. MarketShare is only a small meter, compared to it's influence. Netscape was the only browser to seriously challenge MS. Mac only has a small market share as does Linux. Does either of these feel any less important ?

We just bought an iMAC and its the best of both worlds, in-my opinion.

reasonably stable, yet pretty enough for the Chicky.

Mac has years of marketing, and a slow build. Maybe if they did forget about the hardware and just license the OS, as some have suggested, it would push MS away.

firefox kicked their assess with the better browser. Mac could do the same with the better platform.
